What causes irregular periods?

So after I got it inserted I got my normal period then nothing but then the next time I had my period which was may 20th very light and still going now June 28 like medium now when does it stop!!! It is annoying but a good thing is it is a lot lighter than what I had before the mirena anyone experience this

mine is way lighter but iā€™ve had it for 8 months and still get my period

Ummm I had mine for two years straight even after I had the stupid ass thing removed

Everytime ive gotten the mirena ive had 6-8wks of bleeding

I had bleeding for 3 months after I got Mirena. After that, no period for a year. Super painful and it was literally making me go insane! I only kept it as long as i did because I had no insurance and the cost to take it out was $375. It was the worst experience ever!

I have an intramural uterine fibroid. It was causing me to only have 7 days a month with no period.

I got the Mirena. Was bleeding for a while. Then nothing for over a month. Then I started to have two periods a month and went and got seen for it.

I was put on an additional mini pill for 3 months to force my period into being regular. When it regulated and I ran out of mini pills my period was insane. Once a month then twice a month with random spotting/discharge in between making me think my period was starting up again.

Cue 20 days ago when my phone app predicted when it would come and it didnā€™t.

So I went back to the dr last Friday after being over a week late and she said nothing to worry about the periods have probably stopped.

Guess who showed up yesterday :joy:

Iā€™ve had the Mirena for 1 year and 3 months.

I had that problem with mirena and then it finally stopped I ended up pregnant and found out it had come out on its own. I miscarried a few weeks later.

I bled for 2 months after I got the mirena inserted than after that I had 2 normal cycles then after that I only got a period every other month and now I have had it for 1 year and 2 months and I havenā€™t had a period or any bleeding for 2 months

I have mirena and I only get it now when I am beyond stressed out.

Iā€™ve got the implant in this ones been a pain in the arse n should of been taken out on the 9th pissed off as still waiting to have it removed 3 weeks on going into 4th still bleeding if I bleed anymore I wonā€™t have any blood in my body n Iā€™m on the change too which is not helping at all just want it all ripped out now had enough x

It can take months to normalize. If that doesnt happen please contact your GYN and let then know. They can help

Usually 6 to 8 weeks and then it stops.

I got mine done on May 28 after I stopped bleeding 3 days prior from having my son. I started bleeding again the next morning and stopped yesterday, June 27. I started bleeding this morning from what I assume is my period

My mother and sister both bleed for about a month a d only get periods every so often but it looks like they are stopping when they have them, light and brownish for a out a week. Then nothing for months

Yes and after a yr no periods then year two emergency surgery it wandered and grew into nearly punctured uterus major surgery so be careful
