Hi Mamas. Looking for advice/recommendations. I had my first about six months ago (and I’m IN LOVE WITH HER, OF COURSE), and after much discussion with the husband, we’ve decided it’s time to move the little one out of our room and into her room/nursery for sleeping.
In order to do so, we need to get a really good baby monitor. What does everyone recommend? We’re willing to spend as much or as little as needed. There are just so many, and it’s hard to tell what will actually work best, so which kinds do y’all use and like? Thanks! products
I don’t know of any brands that I would say yes or no to just make sure that it has sound and also night vision. and I personally like the ones that you’re able to move around so you’re able to look around in the room and I even have ones that tell you the temperature of the room. and I also found the ones that you are able to talk to them to let them know that you’re on the way or something like that to help soothe in the evening all right great help
I’ve had a basic one handset traditional monitor for 5+in years and it still works great. I love that I don’t have to worry about any of the issues that can come with new high tech monitors. But it’s still sensitive enough that I could hear my youngest breath when she was a newborn.
We got a YI camera off amazon and it’s been almost 2 years and I still love it. It comes with an app and if the baby moves or anything it notifies you immediately through the app. You can pull it up no matter where you are and check on munchkin. Even if your at work and hubby is home you can spy on them lol and speak to them through the camera. It’s super awesome!!! And you make your own password to view the camera or use your fingerprint.
We have the NEST system in our house: doorbell, a camera in each of girls bedrooms and one downstairs the shows the back door, front door, kitchen and living areas. The doorbell is a blessing because you can mute the Chime during napping hours, the camera themselves pick up everything day/ night and have two way audio so if my five year old wakes up I can coach her back into bed.
