I’ll be contacting my dr tomorrow. But I had a c section 5 days ago… and my incision is now bleeding. Not heavy but when I wash it. It bleeds bright red. Is this normal?

Neither of mine bled. Id definitely keep an eye on it till u can get to the doctor.
My incision didnt bleed either… Can you call the nurse line for your drs office? You dont want it getting infected

I would go to the er or call the doctor. That happened to me and my c section wound ended up being opened partially
Mine never bled. I don’t know if that’s normal but I would definitely contact your doctor.
Mine did. Put a maxi pad on it, and call your on call MD.
I had 3… aside from my botched 1st… no bleeding. . (I wasn’t sealed properly after my first and it came OPEN during my walk to get my catheter removed)

Mine did, i had a serious infection and was put back in the hospital for 4 days of iv antibiotics. I would either go to the er or call ur dr

Call your doctor. I was told to just let the soapy water run over the incision they told me not to wash it.

Dry maxi pads, and call your Dr ASAP. An open wound is an entrance for infection. ER is a great option as well, and it is appropriate to go in for what you’re describing. Always better safe than sorry. Take care! .

I would call asap. You don’t want it to get infected.
Mine bled a little when I would go to the bathroom I would see it on my clothes. I never washed it - just let soap suds fall over it in the shower. I had surgical glue - dr said it was normal to bleed a little bit any swelling, redness (aside from the normal min redness) or puss to go in ASAP
Call Dr now it just go to the ER, you’re not supposed to bleed at this point
Not tomorrow. Call your doctor now. 5 days out is a bit late for bright red. The only discharge other than clear I had is when it got infection slightly.

No, it’s not supposed to bleed, and you’re not supposed to wash it directly.
Go to er n ur not supposed to wash it i just had my 3rd csection 5 weeks ago n was told not to wash just let soapy water run over it till it was completely closed
I’d call to speak with an after hours nurse!! see what they have to say. They may suggest going to the ER if they suspect an infection.

No I had one with my son and they had me cover mine up with the guse for a month till the doctor removed it to check the incishion
