My boyfriend just got a good job, and I wanna start making his lunches… I know such a silly question but id like any and all ideas about what you ladies pack.
Do meal prep…and make him what he likes and would eat
Depends. Does he have access to a microwave?
If he has access to a microwave nearly any kind of meal is acceptable. If he doesn’t then usually it’s anything that doesn’t need to be warmed up. So sandwiches, fresh veggies, fruits, chips, snack cakes, etc.
Idk I guess ask him what he would prefer.
I just pack my man leftovers from dinner because I make dinner every night. I could put a golden turd in his lunchbox and he would be appreciative so I don’t know ask your man!
I make my husband two sandwiches…they are so tasty and thick. And whatever snack we have such as like an oatmeal cream pie or a brownie or zebra cakes or something like that. When we have chips I put some in a ziploc bag. If he liked fruits or veggies I would def put some baby carrots or apple slices but I know he won’t eat em.
Beef jerky
Granola bar
Energy drink
Water or Gatorade
My boyfriend and I always cook extra the night before and take leftovers from dinner but it depends if he has access to a microwave at lunch time. I would also ask if he’d prefer a sit down type lunch or something more on the go like a sandwich or wrap type meal.
When dinner is made, extra is made for his lunch the next day. Along with chips, pop and a sweet snack.
Just tell him to pack his own lunch, good lord
Wraps, sandwiches, sometimes I will bake chicken breast and mix it with rice that will last the entire week for his lunches, for snacks he likes tuna pouches, chips, fruits, protein bars, granola bars,
Sides ill make him mixed veggies, potatoes. Or if we have a bunch of leftovers he will eat them. Drinks…water bottles, Gatorade, energy drink. Look on pinterest for lunch ideas thats where I get ideas for my fiance.
My husband got tired of sandwiches so sometimes he likes the ready to eat salads or I make one myself at home. He also likes when I cut up cheese and salami. I get a variety of granola bars for him too.
Lunchables & fruit snacks. Men love that shit.
Surely he’d tell you what he likes n what he’d want to take no use guessing n he dont like it , I used to give my ex meals to warm up at work when he was on nights , like whatever we had for tea I’d make more so he could take some
My husband said your bf should be packing his own lunch.
what does he like that you can put in a lunch. What kind of work? Is he working out of a truck or does he have a microwave at work? Does he have refrigeration or will he have a warm icky sandwich if you pack him a lunch? Does he have a lunch box with the capacity for a nice ice pack?
My husband gets:
Two sandwiches
Granola bars
Chips
Nature valley bar
Beef jerky
An apple
Gatorade or Dr Pepper
if packed there would be sandwhiches or if asked for something specific couple drinks snacks. but dont because i guess doesnt get o eat lunch half the time his lunch dinner is when gets home.
Box of cut up celery, carrots , cherry tomatoes, cucumber, cheese, gerkins, pickled onions.
Healthy muffin, slice of quiche, Wraps,
Boiled Egg and lettuce sandwich.
Meat and tomato pickle sandwich.
( no not all at once: Normally the salad box and one other item)
His favorite little goodies. I also got these encouraging notes from Walmart I slip in occasionally. It’s so special for him just like it is for our kids!
I think it was sweet that you want to pack him lunch! I used to pack my husband lunches and include cute little notes (screw the naysayers). Something so simple made him smile, especially when he was having a rough day.
When packing his lunch you want to consider how long of a lunch break he has, if he has access to a microwave, etc. Ask him what foods he would like at work. Don’t be afraid to just pack leftovers from the night before!
That’s sweet of you not only fix his lunch leave a cute lil note inside his lunch box everyday …
Not the same every day some times left overs.
Ask him. Sometimes its hard to guess and if he’s still a picky eater it helps.
I just pack mine the left overs from dinner.
I’m sorry, but he’s an adult. He can pack his own lunch. At most, I’d consider portioning the leftovers to be taken, but that’s about it.
I think most importantly would be first to consider what line of work he’s in and if he works in the field away from the office or if he has the luxury of a break room with a microwave if he does def no seafood shrimp, salmon etc. Would be frowned upon by coworkers lol. My husband has to drive to alot of construction and cement job sites to fix their heavy equipment so he’s rarely in the yard/office in summer I try packing him quality cold cuts and and on cold days I make him panninis or melts triple wrapped in foil with a heat pack in his insulated lunchbox and usually a thermos of soup. Other days when the weathers bad rainy and I know he’ll be in the office to use a microwave I just pack him dinner from the night before but if he doesn’t like it him and some coworkers usually just chip in and order a pizza or pick up some Chinese food that’s around the corner.
Well when my husband used to pack my lunch it was:
Cold Asian salads
Home made brownies and cookies
Flask with soup
Sushi
Boiled eggs
Popcorn
Fruit
Salads with sauce on the side
To all of you ladies making a fuss over this…
My man goes away for weeks at a time for work, I WISH I could make him a lunch to take with him in the morning, or make him breakfast and have coffee together before he leaves for work like we use too.
Appreciate your partners, ladies. You’ll wish you did the small things that seem annoying, ridiculous and pointless when they’re gone one day. You should want to do sweet things for your person.
When I used to make lunches for mine, I would do leftovers, sandwiches, wraps, fruit, granola bars, water bottles (when he was working hard labour jobs in the summer he would take a 4L jug of water to keep hydrated).
If they have a microwave at his job you’ll have more options as well.
Things he likes maybe left overs from the night before. I make my man tea but I would make him lunch and he would go to the taco truck so he lost it lol
I pack my hubby’s lunch everyday just as a token of appreciation for all his hard work he gets a bagel sandwich hard boiled eggs cottage cheese Chex mix which you you can get individual packs same with gardetos and chips and a half gallon of water and a Powerade
I don’t do wife duties for boyfriends. They have to upgrade the relationship package to “wife” before I would consider catering to someone - assuming they aren’t physically incapacitated with the task. Stop being a free maid service and let that grown man be an adult.
I pack my husband left overs from dinner the night before! I try to make sure I make enough.
My husband gets a small container of leftovers, chips, fruit, granola bars, crackers, pudding or other sweets. I do fresh fruit and fruit cups. I buy a variety of already bagged up chips and crackers. He likes pudding cups but sometimes I add cookies or candy instead. My husband works long shifts so he gets bigger lunches. If I don’t have warm leftovers for him, he gets he sandwiches he likes turkey pepper jack and Mayo I don’t usually pack it but I buy the goodies and they go into bins on the counter for him. I try to make it so it isn’t the same everyday
My man either gets leftovers or a sandwich, soup cup, any snackies we have, sometimes a drink (he usually gets a drink from the vending machine)
Cheap Meal Ideas join this group!! Constantly throwing out meal ideas and stuff, I love it!
Shes also an adult and can pack a lunch for her bf if she wants. She didn’t say he was making her or even asking her to, sheesh. I wpuld pack leftovers or cold oats and yogurt, sandwiches, salads etc, never much fancy but he appreciated it
You know what kinds of food he likes, just get creative with it. Consider his line of work and pack accordingly. Mix it up sometimes. I often packed several drinks and would mix it up between wraps, sandwiches, quesadillas, gyro style meals etc and snacks. Just find what works for your schedule and his.
I made an extra serving of dinner. Added some fruit or chips. Yogurt. Nuts and cheese. Milk and cereal or oatmeal (he would eat breakfast during his 1st break )
Mine gets lefovers or a sandwich with some chips and either a banana or an apple
Cream cheese and ham bagel sandwiches.
Salami/meat, cheese, crackers. …
I have packed my husband lunch every single day for 13 years except for the 2 days I was in the hospital for each of our children. Am I a morning person? No! Do I hate getting up most days? Yes! But do I like those extra few minutes in the morning with him? Absolutely! Kudos to you for wanting to do this!
I make him a sandwich, chips, fruit of some sort, yogurt, a few snacks, and when I get the desire to make cookies, he gets those.
Helpful hint: Buy 3 or 4 ice packs so you make sure you always have a clean and frozen one.
Leftovers and sandwiches and chips if it’s really hot weather, with some snacks and drinks
I always packed what we were having for dinner or had for dinner the previous night depending on his shift. I was a sah mom and he worked evenings so i cooked dinner for lunchtime, then packed leftovers to send with him that evening. You might ask him what hed like?
Whatever he finds to pack in his lunch. Don’t wait on him. He’s a big boy.
I can’t believe how many bitchy females are up in this post!! Maybe packing his lunch is a part of her love language- acts of service. Instead of being negative Nancy’s and saying he’s a grown ass man he needs to be packing his own shit, perhaps giving her the advice she asked for- examples of foods to pack🤷🏽♀️ Damn, so many wives out there jumping on this poor girl. Hate to say it but I feel sorry for those men that are married to the bitchy ones. Treat him like a king and he’ll treat you like a queen!!
I’m not a lady but I find ready to eat finger food like chips cheese, yogurt and such.
I used to pack my husbands bucket for him all the time when he worked in the coal mines. It depends on whether he has access to a kitchen to heat stuff up, or has a clean place to eat. I used to make an extra serving at supper to pack for the next day. If no leftovers, sandwiches and chips. I always made sure I packed a sweet though. And I’d drop a note in from time to time. it’s how some people show love.
My guy takes leftovers and prefers foods to heat up because he often is outside in the cold a lot in the winter
I dont pack the lunch but I make everything Sunday.
I make a breakfast which is some kind of meat wit veggies saute. He then adds 2 eggs in the.morning and microwaves it for a few minutes.
I also make some kind of roast in the crockpot and he takes that for lunch
Also hes a big boy let him pack it himself.
I’m going to note that this is what the whole family gets for the week.
I have packed my husband’s lunch for the last 25 years, has takes a meat and cheese sandwich, chips, granola bars, fruit and cookies or another sweet. Sometimes he takes leftovers(from dinner).
Why are people so against it there are men who pack their wife’s to it’s so nice . I do left overs or sandwich chips or cookies and fruit
I just wanna say I’m married 13 years together with my wife for 19 years and I wanna say how much I love all you ladies for this!!! As a man something like this just makes a man’s day and makes him feel so good!! I hope your Men return the favor of a backup to all you ladies. Its also glad to see so many great women in here who actually love to LOVE!!! n
I used to do my ex partner sandwiches with a little bag of fruit (or the actual fruit itself) with a small yogurt, two chocolate bars and a bag of crisps. I used to write him a little note too haha wish I hadn’t have bothered now lol xx
Always liked finding a little note in my lunch.Made lunch and my day so much better!
Sandwiches, chips, grapes sometimes or a plum, banana, sweet tea, powerade, and whatever snacks he likes
Dont forget utensils, napkins, condiments, and love note
Leftovers, sandwiches and chips (add dip sometimes), salads, crackers or little Debbie to snack on. Sometimes I would show up with a hot meal and a cold drink. It really depends on his shift, time for lunch, and access to fridge(you can add ice packs) or microwave.
Leftovers from the dinner the night before, sandwiches, burritos, fruit, snacks you could pack basically anything especially if he has a microwave, good luck
Usually some sort of meat sandwich, chips, and something for “dessert” and a soda or something, or leftovers if we have any that he really likes. But I wanna start doing Bento boxes and other healthier options.
My guy doesn’t like big heavy meals he likes easy quick on the go snack type foods like fresh fruits and veggies and cheese and crackers and sausage and cheese
I just literally made fried rice for my husband for tomorrow’s lunch. He doesn’t like to heat things up. Usually it’s leftover but we had ribs and there were no leftovers tonight
My guy does shift work, so it’s either leftovers from dinner the night before or whatever I’m making for dinner that day, depending on which shift he is on.
It’s from the heart. A cute little note helps too.
Lmfaoooo this page is so gross. Full of weird ass woman who hate:joy: thanks to ppl who actually commented something helpful. I was told to surprise him so i came here for opinions. Weirdos:skull:
Burritos or sandwiches
I’m not a lady but my wife took a cup beat up egg an cooked it . The Warner the better it taste at lunch, with lil relish and mustard worked for me 37 years
I make stir fry, steak, fried chicken, sandwiches, chops, veggies, etc. they have microwave at work. He buys lunch on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Leftovers um the little mixed boxes of chips
My husband always packed his own lunch. Gotta train them young ladies!
Sandwiches, chips, cut up veggies and fruits with dips, pickles don’t forget the untensils and condiments. Another cute touch is a little love note hidden in there or a funny joke to make him smile.
Where my husband works they have a break room with a fridge and microwave one week he will do sandwiches and then one week he will do different box meals be can heat up in the microwave depends on what kind of mood he is in and sometimes he will do leftovers if it’s something he really likes and we have any left…
Pack him what he wants. He’s an adult and can tell you what he wants.
Left overs for lunch and for breakfast I wake up at 3:30 am to make fresh egg and bacon with cheese or egg and chorizo with cheese some times ground beef and potatoes with green chillie and cheese if I do not have left overs sandwich and chips
I pack a giant turkey leg in a pail.
Get a cool bento box and google some yummy simple lunch idea I love google… And bento boxessssss
Let him pack his own shit. tf… he aint 5, probably got 2 good or maybe only 1 good hand…either way, he is a grown ass man who if was finished being raised by his mom , could make his own damn lunch
Boyfriends lunch? A packet of 2min noodles a apple a bottle water! Hes not ur husband yet dont stress!
I think this is sweet. You go! There is never enough moments to show love and appreciation to someone so take advantage of the small moments!
A cooler.
I reuse water bottles for milk and juice and send a bowl of cereal for breakfast.
A fruit for am snack.
Sandwich and chips or leftovers for lunch.
Granola or peanut butter crackers for a pm snack.
Two waters, two gatorades and a soda.
There’s a fridge and a microwave so…
I always give him more than what he needs, just in case he wants something different.
Usually just pack dinner leftovers
I made sub sandwiches and packed trail mix or bag of chips. Maybe granola bar or apple with some bottles of water…if make sandwiches…put the pickles…lettuce…etc…in a separate ziploc bag so don’t make the bread soggy…if has a microwave and fridge at work he would take hot pockets, leftovers…whatever he told me he wanted I would pack with an ice pack…
Mine gets what he wants plus a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Laine Shemwell Brister
Left overs just make a little more than you can eat. Make sure at least one day a week you make him something that’s his favorite. Always leave a special note every day they may not say a whole lot but they like being noticed by you n sometimes it s make the others wish they had a note, you become a hero
I didnt realize people did this in 2021…lol…ur his gf not his mom
Depends on the job. But left overs, and enough for him not to spend money. Should be simple, don’t overtink it. Get a bento box
I do this for mine
Everyone’s relationship is different. Don’t be put off on judgement of “you’re not his mom” bs.
We do sandwiches. Fruit. Kinda thing. Then he buys own drink. He takes left overs some times.
A boyfriend can pack his own lunch.
Depending on your mood and his attitude
It’s a kind gesture so don’t listen to the negativity if it’s something you just want to do. My boyfriend packs MY lunch for me when I work and he has it off. I even get cute letters to read on my lunch.
I take pride in doing it for my fiancé too! Sometimes pastrami, different meats and salad mixes etc
Don’t do it I started doing this then they just expect it
And when your mad at him you can make him a lunch meat sandwich but keep the plastic on the cheese . It’s fun to hear their reaction
Mine has left overs or i make stew lol he loves same old shit hash xx
Vienna sausage or sardine and crackers in man’s lunch! Lol!
Sandwiches, left overs, salads, sometimes protein shakes. I even would wake up super early (4 am) to make my (now) husband coffee and breakfast before he would leave to go to work and then pack his lunch. We now own a business together so I am not waking up as early, but I still do those things. Why? Because I love him, appreciate him, and he deserves to have nice things done for him as well. Don’t let the negativity get to you- I never did. It’s just your way of showing him that you love him and that you’re proud of him. Men like to be pampered, considered, and shown appreciation too!
Here is an easy to understand explanation of the love languages using tacos…
Tell him too make it himself …Why mother a grown man for
