Advice on camping with baby.
Has anyone ever gone camping with a 9month old? What are some necessities other than the obvious that were life savors or that you wish you would have brought? We have a portable bouncer, a pack n play.

Pack and play, sheets, snacks, extra extra diapers and wipes. Plenty of clothes to change into, and toys. We camp often and have been since my son was born.
Port oh cot to hold them in
What are you camping in? A tent or an RV?
I wasn’t going to bring his stroller when we went but I’m sure glad I did. I did not bring his pack n play however and I regretted it immediately lol and his bumbo for feedings! Other than that, he was golden!
More wipes than you think you will ever need!
I’ve never been but if weather is nice enough I’d bring a swing that they can swing in at camp
My son was 18 months on his first float trip/camping trip. We wouldnt have survived if my brother didnt have his tablet so my rotten child could watch veggie tales at bedtime lol.
I have 4 kids and all started camping at or around 6 months old. Pack n play and lots of extra clothes and wipes
Kacie thought you may have some recommendations!
Mosquito net to go over the pack n play. Double up on extra clothes and wipes. Baby carrier or sling to help you carry the babe.
I packed items in a shorter rubbermade tote/ box then unpacked it and used it as a baby bath tub.
If you think it’s too much pack more lol
A cabin and running water lol lots of diapers and clothes
Something to put on the ground for them to play on, like a water proof picnic blanket.
Bring those foam puzzle pieces to line your tent with so baby has a soft place to play “inside”
I took my 7 month old camping. I brought the part of the playpen she would normally sleep on, a couple of extra blankets, a few toys. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but to be honest it was really easy. My daughter loves to be outside though, so that probably helped.
It will be easier than you think!! A few extra changes of clothes, some toys, diapers/wipes, the pack and play and bouncer will be perfect
High chair for meals.
Also bug repellent for sure!!
Pack and play, or other device to keep baby wrangled. lol. blanket to put on ground. Toys. Plenty of diapers, wipes, clothes. If fed formula a thermos. Assuming you won’t have electricity, this was a life saver for me. Feedings were so much easier, filling up a thermos with hot water for the bottle. Make sure it’s filled before bed so you don’t have to worry about warming it if feeding in the night or early morning. Just add a little room temp water to bottle before mixing if too hot. Addition: Took my youngest for his first camp trip at one month. As others have said, much easier than you’d expect. Have fun!
Just enjoy. Everything will work out.
Lots of water, pack and play. Bring sheets to play on. Extra blankets, extra clothes if it’s not warm enough for just a diaper. I took my son camping at a month old and then again this past weekend. He loves being outdoors. OH! Don’t be alarmed if baby doesn’t eat as much as he/she does at home. My son doesn’t eat nearly as much but drinks lots of water and snacks.
Pack extra diapers, wipes, clothes, then pack even more. Lol. A portable play yard so you can put them down whike your getting things done.
Best thing i ever did is took a pack n play and a crib sheet. The crib sheet fits over the top and no mosquito bites or anything! It was a life saver
Yes, bring pack and play and toys, if it’s cold bring extra blankets because you dont want baby too close to the fire. Baby carrier will be a life saver, my family uses a back pack style one with a canopy over head so there isnt too much sun on baby. 9 months is old enough for sun screen but make sure you have some sort of shade as well. Bring extra wipes because outside all day and night means extra dirt.
I can’t wait till it cools down enough to take my youngest camping (we live in Phoenix so it’s still 106 during the day and over 90 at night)
First of all what kind of camping, like in a tent or in a camper?
Bring a fitted crib sheet to put over the pack and play to keep any bugs out. We took my daughter around that age and she loved it, especially when we would take her on walks in a baby carrier. Also, if you have an easy to bring along high chair I think that would have been helpful.
