When is the best time to take a pregnancy test?

I had my baby 6 weeks and 3 days ago, if I took a pregnancy test would it give an accurate reading?

I would think so.Ive know n it happen.

Assume this means you have a positive not a negative? I very very very much doubt you would still get a positive now from the baby you’ve just had x

Mine showed at 4 weeks

Hcg levels should be normal 3 weeks postpartum so pregnancy test should be accurate

Depends. Did you have unprotected sex and you’re not sure if you’re pregnant again but don’t want to freak out with a false positive?

You’re most fertile after you give birth… soooo :woman_facepalming:t3::roll_eyes:

Depends. Did you wait the six weeks to have sex like your supposed to? Bc it wouldn’t show up in 3 days. But if you only waited 2 weeks. And it’s now 6w3d if you’re pregnant again a test would tell you, it wouldn’t be hormones from your last baby.

I never took tests that early but my kids are 13 months and 15 months apart. 3 kids. Felt like the longest pregnancy in history

YESSSSSS!
Hubby and I tried right away after time was up for #1.
She was 4 months old when we got our positive on baby #2 (also girl)
They are 13 months 5 days apart

This is a question for your doctor it depends on the woman for hormone levels but if your breastfeeding your hormone levels with still be up if you are if not it takes six to eight weeks for hormone levels to even out without any outside factors!

Yep I got pregnant a month after my son was born

It may or may not be accurate. If your pregnant again, it could be picking up the new pregnancy or remnants from the previous pregnancy. Typically it can take up to 6 weeks for the pregnancy hormones to be out of your body (when not pregnant again). I got a positive pregnancy test at 5 weeks pp after my third was born, but I knew there was zero chance of pregnancy because hadn’t had any sex but I was curious if it was true that it takes longer for the hormones to leave the body.

I had positive tests 2 months after an early miscarriage, so I’d be surprised if it was accurate after just a few weeks

I’ve heard of a woman going to her 6 week check up and was 5 weeks pregnant

18 months is the recommended wait time between birth and trying to get pregnant again. It’s unhealthy to try again within that time

I went back to my 6 week’s check up pregnant! Best thing that ever happened to me

My eldest two are ten months apart…I got my result as soon as it got obvious with timing so I was about 4 weeks xx

My first daughter was 2 months old when I found out I was 5 weeks pregnant with my second so it’s definitely possible. We lost that baby tho and 3 months later had our third. She is is now 6 months old and I am 19 weeks with our fourth lmao. Trust me you’re fertile for a good amount of time after you have a baby and if that test says positive your best bet is to go to the dr and have them check you with blood work because I highly doubt it’s from your last baby, but false positives can happen. Good luck to you

You are the most fertile right after having a baby so yes.

Yes , you are so fertile right now

My first two were nine months and nine days apart

If you’re 6 weeks pp you should have a Dr appointment soon. They will test if you ask. Definitely, don’t just take a over-the-counter test.

I’m blown away by these questions. I guess not a lot of people listen to their doctors when they are told to take 6 weeks of pelvic rest “aka no sex”. Just curious as to why people do not listen to doctors advice. I personally was terrified of infections, bleeding, etc.

For real, people - the doctor tells you to wait six weeks for a reason!
