Had mine done in 2015, got pregnant in 2016, had my son in 2017. He turned 4 today. It DOES happen.

Iām on 7 years and I pray every day it doesnāt fail. We have 3 kids. Our youngest is 12 & we really do not want to start over.

I had a bilateral tubal ligation surgery I 2014 the morning after my youngest was born. Bilateral is either cut, burnt, or removed. Iām pretty sure mine are just tied. Thatās what I told her I wanted but its listed at bilateral tubal ligation in my medical records. I have heard other women say they got pregnant 5 years or so after having them done. So far so good for me but some of these comments have me worried and thinking of making an appointment and having a check up. I dont want no more kids. After 3 miscarriages, a stillborn at 20 weeks and then finally having 2 healthy boys in 2012 and 2014 I did not and still do not want to get pregnant ever again. Two is all I ever wanted. When I finally got my two I asked to have mine dried and she agreed immediately giving my history. Please dont let mine come undone ever. I also heard having them remove, there is a very slight chance but still a chance of them growing back. This is really kinda scary.

Had mine done when I was 22, in 2000. Clamped. Cut. Burnt. Still no surprises, 21 years later.
I had my tubes cut, burned, and tied in 2005 and ever since then Iāve been pregnant 3 times but have had misscarriges.

My aunt did it lead to a lot of issues in the start, my cousin is mostly fine the only issues encountered were from a different issue

After hearing about so many people getting pregnant with one, i was excited when my OBGYN mentioned tube removal. I had them removed and its a load off my mind.
My mom had 1 and had my sister year later thatās why Iām so scared to have it done

I did x-ray showed clips still in place tubes done in 96 baby in 2002
My tubal is scheduled for the 25th. So glad my doctor removes the tubes

I had mine burned cut and tied, and just to make sure I didnāt have a mess up, I got rid of my period. No baby for me! 
the period part I only did because the cramping and periods were insane after the tubal. The procedure is called novasure if anyone is interested lol

This scares meā¦ I just had my daughter a month and a little bit ago and while in for the c section they also did my tubesā¦ like we are DONE having kids. And I have been known to forget a condom or 2. Lol. 
I am going next year to have my reversed I wish it would just happen on its own

I did! I had my tubes tied after my son was born in 2012. Then got pregnant in 2015 and had another son and I just had another son this year! They can grow back. Your body was made to heal itself!!!

I didā¦ About 8 years after i had mine tied i had 3 miscarriages. And then I had my little miracle baby. I was on 2 different types of birth control and plus my tubes ties, I thought I wouldnt be able to get pregnant. Got proven wrong

My sister actually got pregnant with the IUD and she almost died. They had to do emergency surgery and take out one of her tubes. A few years later she got pregnant again on the pill and now has a beautiful 5 year old little girl. So trust me when I say if itās meant to be, it will be. That little girl changed her whole life.

I got pregnant on the depo shot, now my son is almost 17 months old
I had a tubal ligation a little over 2 years ago and not been pregnant.
My doctor told me it wasnāt 100% effective.
I just had mine removed not tied and thereās pretty much no chance to get pregnant like that.
This is why i donāt understand why partial hysterectomy isnāt more common. Leave the ovaries for hormonesā¦take out the housing unit. Never have the issue again

I had a tubal ligation. Had them cut and burned. Pregnant 6 months later. But my hcg levels werenāt rising normal. They figured it was a tubal pregnancy. So they gave me a shot to ādissolveā the pregnancy. Now Iām on birth control.
Iv had 2 sisters end up pregnant afterwards and had another sister have 1 tube completely removed and was told her other wasnt in good shape and she wouldnt be able tonhave kidsā¦took her off her birth control due to thinking she wasnt able to conceive and she ended up pregnant
My was done 3 years ago but. Nothing yet but I still pray for a baby boy but I happy and blessed with my girls and two wonder step sons

5 years burned and tied and praying that doesnāt happen; I had to get mine done due to medical reasons. They said I will bleed to death internally if I get pregnant again. knew he should have just done a hysterectomy.

7 yrs after tubal but it was etopic.
Getting mine tied monday those SOB better never grow back lol Iām done having babies. Hubs will get a vasectomy as well.

If you just get them tied after 5 years their is a chance they can untie. If you tie cut and burnt youāre in the clear.
Ok so how many of you had your tubes removed and then got pregnant? I opted to remove the tubes instead of ātieā them because its suppose to be more effective so Iām interested to see which way has failed?

Cut, tied, and burnt over here! My OB told me she couldnāt guarantee my tubal because sheād never seen someoneās insides the way mine were grown and twisted. She almost couldnāt do it. My youngest is 6.
Thatās why by husband got fixed too. !
I wasnāt even offered any other choice than having them removed. So I guess I see the plus in that now.
With any from of sterilization there is a chance of pregnancy. The more years that have passed since having this procedure. The higher the chance of pregnancy. With that being said it is still an very low possibility. Of the small percent of eggs that do get fertilized. They are more likely to implant outside of the uterus.

I am absolutely furious over this thread and it makes me lean more more from sex then I already have because my biggest fear is the get pregnant again and I had a tubal last March.

Meeee!!! I was pregnant when I got it done, too early to tell when I got the pee test before removal, felt sick about two months after and had pregnancy symptoms so went and asked for a pregnancy test sure shit I was pregnant ( Iām high risk for ectopic pregnancy so I got a ultrasound right away ) it was in the uterus I chose to terminate and havenāt had a scare since 2 years ago
