Will my ex still have to pay child support if I file a restraining order on him?

If I file a restraining order on my ex, will he still have to pay child support?

A restraining order would juat keep him from being able to get within a certain distance of you. If you have a court order or what not that he has to pay child support, that will have to be honored no matter what.
If nothing is established then he will not be required to pay child support

Anyways, yes, he would still have to pay.

Child support is a whole different issue. He has to pay or he will go to jail and have his drivers license revoked until he pays up. If he doesn’t pay the whole amounts or just every now and then you can get his tax return every year.

No matter what, he will always have to pay child support. My daughters father had his rights terminated by the courts and he still had to pay child support for the next 14 yrs. Not that he did. but I eventually got it all.

Why ask on fb call a lawyer

Two totally different things.

Yes but the order will be to stay away from you…not the kids. With that being said, if you worry for the safety of your children then you may want to rethink what you’re doing. Id risk myself to make sure my kids were okay…Every situation is different.
