Advice on getting your tubes tied?

Any advice on getting your tubes tied? I’m a little nervous because I’ve never had surgery but I know for a fact I don’t want anymore babies

No one tells you how terrible your periods are after and the increase of blood during that time, but it doesn’t happen for everyone

I got my tubes tied wen I had my 4th c section. Menstrual cycles are horrible. Other than that I have no other things that are diffrent

Did it back in1981 no issues,

It’s a small procedure, I had it with my last baby. The recovery wasn’t noticeable since I had a C section. My periods were fine and went back to the way they were afterwards. It’s the best thing. Never have to worry after it’s done. Don’t be scared this is a quick one you’ll be in and out.

I got mine removed last week! The worst part was the day after with the gas getting out of your body. I went to a 6 hour outdoor concert 3 days later with just some ibuprofen and was completely fine. I was not prepared for the swelling. I’m still really puffy and they said 6-8 weeks to go back to normal. It doesn’t hurt but it’s uncomfortable to button pants lol.

I had my tubes tied 8 years ago. And ended up having the worst periods and pain that I have ever experienced. I ended up having to have a hysterectomy a year later. It doesn’t happen to everyone though. I know a lot of people who had great experiences with having there tubes tied.

I got mine done 2 years ago. My only problem was that I bruised really badly. But I bruise like a peach anyway! I’m saying to do it. Once you’re sure you don’t want any more kids, it’s the best!

Where I live they take the tubes out now. I had mine done almost 6 months ago. the day right after having my youngest and last. I knew before I got pregnant I was done after her. Almost 6 months and still haven’t started a period tho. Could be cause I’m nursing but I’m unsure on that.

My story is like worst case… I got them done, a year later it failed via a missed miscarriage. Waited almost a month for outpatient surgery to open due to covid at the time to remove it. Then got tubes redone. Been 4 years now. I have a slight prolapsed uterus, Heavy periods, gas pains, heavy cramping.

I’ve had like 10 surgeries. It’s nerve racking every time, but once they give you those sleepy meds your out. I had my tubes removed with an ablation, then 2yrs later had a hysterectomy.

Make sure they cut and burn the ends. If just tied they can come undone… rarely happens but it can. Had mine done in 1990 and never had a problem, my periods got better.

I got mine done maybe 7 years ago and I do have heavier periods and more cramps than I use to but I only have cramps the first day and my period only last like 3 days. I don’t regret it at all and would definitely recommend it

I had mine done 30 years ago. Beat decision ever. I never had any problems, my periods were lighter.

I regret it only because the hormone change is so crazy! I cramp and bleed in between my period

my period is now 10x heavier. like bleeding through an ULTRA tampon in an hour and waking up multiple times a night COVERED in blood. never had those issues before my tubal.

I got mine done as soon as my baby was born. They did it right then and there. Done in 2014. No issues.

Best thing I’ve done. I had mine tied when I had my last baby. Hormones were off for a bit but I’m happy I did it.

I had mine tied 14 years ago. Best birth control ever. However… I will tell you as time has progressed my menstrual got more and more intense

I tied my tubes after my second c-section (which was 2yrs ago)

Tied my tunes 24year ago and haven’t had any problems.

Had my done years ago…never had any problems

Been thinking the same but herd from people that have had it done you get really heavy periods and put on weight

Had mine done in 1979 no problem !

Do some research on post tubal ligation syndrome.
Do not let them take your ovaries unless absolutely necessary as it will cause major hormone disruptions that affect the rest of your body.

Get ur husband to get a vasectomy 7 min 3 days of rest good to go on Monday LoL :rofl:

I had mine cut, tied and burned. Haven’t had any problems. They did mine when I had my C-section 4 years ago.
