We are remodeling. Going from a combo of carpet and vinyl to stone look tile upstairs and downstairs. My question is, what do we do with the stairs? They are carpet. I think tile would look nice on stairs but a complete hazard imo. Do any of yall have experience with this? Posting anonymous because I have people I know in this group and we are going to surprise everyone with a reveal.

Wood stairs with treads or carpeted stairs. You could put tile on the sides, like a baseboard for the stairs.
Probably want to have some area rugs or runners on the tiled floors with rubber grid underneath if it gets chilly where you live or to prevent slipping and falling unless you trip over the edge of the carpet. Tile is good if you live where it might flood.
