Gained 10 ponds when I use the depo shot, on a good note never had to worry about my monthly while on it
My daughter had nightmares with mirena and explanot , one broke and the other made her extremely sick! Just ask questions and be careful , I know my niece did very well with depo
Depo is the devil. Iāve never been so miserable. Get a 10 year IUD. I love mine!

Depo patients most complaint is weight gain. Nexplanon is irregular spotting. There are different types of IUD, all are progesterone only except for one, Mirena is one that most go to. Kyleena and Liletta are just as good as Mirena. The paragard is copper, no hormones but can cause heavier periods. Each method can be different for each woman. I work in womenās health and these seem to be the most complaints with each method.
I was on it for a long time prior to pregnancy and loved it. It has a tendency to cause more bleeding after pregnancy- I had a 52- day period after my son was born and doctors werenāt surprised by this once they knew I was on depo. Good luck!
I not only got pregnant in the depo shot but bled the whole time I was on it and lost the baby because of it. I wouldnāt recommend it. If you plan to breastfeed talk to a consultant there are lots of better options that wonāt affect your mulch supply. Depo or any hormone pill can cause a loss of milk supply.

My doctor told me to not ever get it if I wanted more kids in the future.
I love Depo. I did gain thirteen pounds but have an overly fast metabolism so I needed that.
I recommend the mirena! Spotted for the first month and the rest of the 4 1/2 years I had it in I had absolutely 0 symptoms and never got my period. Never had to do anything for it either. Perfect for busy moms, or just busy women in general

I was miserable on it. I was moody and gained weight. I now have the iud and love it!
Genetics play a role in what is effective.I know a girl that used both birth control and a condom and got pregnant. I got very sick on the depo shot and got pregnant around the time I should have gotten a second shot. I got pregnant using a condom and so did my grandma. Some women are so fertile that Everytime they have unprotected or under-protected sex they get pregnant. Thatās why I have 5 kids. Thatās also why I took the necessary steps to I canāt have any more.

I was on for 5years and then found out after I stopped that I now had PCOS AND Iām unable to have children. It messed up my body and Iām not the only one!
Iāve been getting the depo for 6 years and Iāve never had issues. Iāve never had a period, not even a little spotting, no more ovarian cysts, and I donāt have to remember a pill every day. I did the Nuva ring and it was not my thing at all

Iāve done depo shot years ago. Was told it basically tricks your body into thinking your pregnant, so I gained weight quickly & had other generic pregnancy symptoms 
so I stoppedā¦
I was on it for 9 years never had a issue with getting pregnant however I do not recommend it you gain so much weight it gives you terrible mood swings and I didnāt like the new formula they came up with the original formula was great but the new one no way I stop immediately after one shot of it
Depo caused many issues for meā¦ extreme weight gain and when I got off I bled for a year and half straight and it took me 11 years to have successful pregnancy

I was on the depo for a few years. It stopped my periods completely while I was on it and for some time after. I did have 1 miscarriage after I stopped the shot, however I do have 2 healthy kids born after it. I gained no weight with it.
I hated it too. It was awful. I have a Mirena now and itās ok but I would much rather my doctor cut out my insides so I donāt have to suffer anymore.
I have an IUD & love it!! No periods, no scares. Worth talking about with your doctor
I had the depo shot for 2 years, after getting off of it, it screwed up my cycles. I bled for 2 months after getting off of it and it took me 7 years to get pregnant. I do not recommend
It gave me PCOS
Gained a TON of weight. Wouldnt suggest it to my worsted enemy. Nuvaring is good. I cant take pills either.
I got pregnant on depo 2 times 
I also had a lot of weight gain from the shots.
I had an ok experience with the copper iud, but the strings gave my husband a few pokes.
Deli didnāt work for me lol plus it made me so puffy. I didnāt like it.
I bled a ton the whole time it was in my system. Hormones were too much at once if your system is delicate like me
Depo is not for everyone. It can have risk of weight gain, and other side effects. Itās a painful shot . However, I loved it because it was 1 shot for 3 months of birth control. Watch out dont miss a shot because I was pregnant in a month after I stopped the shots. It doesnt take long for it to be out of your system
I was on deposit for 3 years. On it, I gained 20 pounds. I would highly suggest against it.
I got pregnant while on pill with 2nd child so took depo foor over year went back to get next shot took my pregnancy test before hand and was pregnant
I had REALLY BAD side effects from the depo! I was on my period for like 9 mo this straight from it
I have the Paraguard (copper IUD - no Hormones) and I have no complaints
Best decision ever
Iām on depo and I love it no weight gain or anything

I knew several women on the depo get pregnant. I wouldnāt trust it.

Iāve been on the depo for 15 years .first time for 10 years straight, got married and got off and was pregnant 2 months laterā¦had 2 children back to back and have been back on for 5 years nowā¦ never had an issue, never got pregnant or even close while on it, no weight gain and I dont get my period. I LOVE IT
Also caused me fertility issues. Would suggest reading online about it and the connection with pcos and fertility issues. Took over 5 yrs to conceive and I had been off it for years before I started trying.
I bled for 9 months on the depo. Sometimes light sometimes heavy. It did NOT work for me. It was horrible and I was a raving bitch the entire time.
Depo caused me to be a bitch and I didnāt even realize how bad. I lost all sexual interest, and gained weight. But everyone is different
