Any mommas deal with esophagus strictures I just had 2 different sections balloon dilated was curious if any mommas had dilation done does the first one work or required another? I’m still feeling like stuffs stuck in my throat it’s so frustrating not eating how I’d like to eat been struggling the last few months not sure why this is happening

You need to have an upper endoscopy. I have to have my esophagus stretched . See a gastroenterologist

My husband had to have his stretched 6 times and has to go back yearly. Also he has to take a steroid slurry 2 times a day.

I had this problem after sleeve gastrectomy, I think I’ve had barium swallow study done and about 5-6 dilatations. It can be partially corrected but be prepared it may never be completely normal again.

Same. I’ve had mine stretched 4 times in less than a year. It offers temporary relief but ends up back where I started. I’m sure it depends on the cause of the stricture.

Thank you for posting this. I am currently battleing this. I have lost a lot of weight because I just do not want to eat cause it hurts. They have me drinking ensure. I see the GI Dr next week. I had a serious illness that requires many chest surgeries in a very short time and they believe scarring caused it.
