Has anyone else been diagnosed with a hiatal hernia after giving birth for the first time and then had a successful second pregnancy with no issues? I don’t have any issues with the hernia now, but I had twins first and found out that I had a hernia that was caused from them… they didn’t say it need to be fixed or anything. So I’m curious as to who else has had this before and it didn’t affect another pregnancy?

I have one that was a result of my 4th and final pregnancy. 14 years later they still say it does not need repaired. No subsequent pregnancies though, so I can’t attest to that.
Why would it affect pregnancy to begin with?
My Mom did, she had two kids following the hernia.
I’ve had one since I was born. Hasnt affected anything…maybe more heartburn but who knows.
Mine was diagnosed prior to getting pregnant. It was terrible.
Funny enough when I got pregnant I stopped having issues with it🤷♀️

I was blessed with one from my daughter and was completely miserable until I tried George’s Aloe Vera juice (it does not have the enzymes that can cause preterm labor). It helped so much. It was recommended that I have it fixed before another pregnancy. I did not have it fixed by the time I got pregnant with my son. No major issues with it like I did with my daughter. I still haven’t had it fixed and it hasn’t really bothered me. Occasionally it will, but nothing major, just some discomfort like acid reflux or a slight burning feeling.
I have an umbilical one and I’m currently pregnant. Women get pregnant all the time with hernias

It is called a pseudo hernia. It happens sometimes due to the muscle being stretched while pregnant. It can be repaired. But it is considered cosmetic surgery.

I had three different hernias at the same time come up from the C-section birth of my third (and last!) baby. They were hands down the most painful thing I have ever experienced. So much worse than recovering from the C-section itself. I had to have surgery four months later to have them taken care of. That scar is worse than my C-section scar.

Yes, some group of people tried to make a man out of your femininity.
Let them know that you never had a colonoscopy
I’ve been told I have one and I’ve never had any issues with it. I wouldn’t have even known if I wasn’t told! I’ve had it since my first and I’ve have 3 others
