Anyone else have a high school student that drinks coffee?

Any other mothers here have a teenager that’s in a high school that offers coffee during breakfast?

Yep that’s a great idea to get your teenager addicted to caffeine :upside_down_face:

Lots of different cultures let kids drink coffee at an early age. My kid drank it once in awhile I’d rather that then monsters

You know in other countries MANY other this is normal at a younger age then that. John’s Hopkins has a great article basically saying limit it in young kids and don’t go over daily recommendations which is a cup of coffee per day for teens.

More caffeine in tea gram for gram… Nothing wrong with morning coffee unless they’re being offered double espressos before school!

I make my 8th grader an iced coffee every once in a while. Lots of ice, a little coffee, and lots of creamer lol

With all the energy drinks most of them consume, coffee seems like a much safer choice tbh.

Just go to a Starbucks right before school or at there lunch time, a lot of high schoolers drink coffee

I started drinking coffee when I was a toddler … it doesn’t stunt your growth, I’m 5’9 … my husband & I are big coffee drinkers, my kids don’t like it… I see no problem with coffee… coffee does have benefits and isn’t that bad for you… now if they are adding tons of sugar and/or surgar filled creamers and drinking lots of then different circumstances

My grandson’s Dr. told my daughter to give her son coffee,it is supposed to be good for asthma

I have a middle schooler. A lot of kids bring Starbucks to school for breakfast. So high schoolers drinking coffee wouldn’t surprise me. I’m not a coffee drinker myself. Otherwise my kids probably would be.

our highschool had a coffee shop
