Have any of you that had to it tubes removed during your C-section regret it? I’m considering it because I have endometriosis and we don’t plan on having any more children
For me it was the best decision I’ve made and have never regretted it
I did. I have never had cycle issues or anything! I was getting sicker and sicker(pre-eclampsia earlier) each pregnancy so I know it was the right choice. Once in a while I get baby fever bad! But I always keep in mind why I did it and that helps
I got mine done and don’t regret it one bit. I do get cramps but nothing unbearable. It’s just cramps. And it’s heavier but shorter so kind of a win? Either way, my experience was a good one and I recommend it
No i dont regret it. But I had 4 kids by the time I was 25 so I knew I was done. It took me 4 years after my last baby to finally have the procedure done. Unfortunately I have horribly heavy cycles, not sure if that is the cause ot not
Noooo. I do not regret it at all. Hormones didn’t change, my period didn’t get worse although I do get more crampy but still not more or less blood then before. And getting it done right after C-section would be better than having to wait and go get surgery again. I have 3 children by birth I raise 5 babies. No I do not regret it it all. I was done with baby making. And im so happy with my decision all around.
No. I am now 69 and had mine done at 21 when I had my youngest by Ceasarian.
I regret doing mine but endometriosis is horrible pain too… I still wish I would have waited
I was going to but my husband didn’t want me to regret that choice or have to deal with the high chance of problems afterwards so he opted to get a vasectomy instead to ease my mind. I was scared of having worse periods and pms but we were done having children.
I regret it. My periods and PMS have been terrible since I had it done almost 3 years ago.
3 years post op. I don’t regret it. Actually getting a hysterectomy next month due to uterine fibroids.
Just got mine taken out last month healing sucked for sure but I’m glad i got it done . On a low side I’m so nervous to get a period I heard they are way worse after not looking forward to that kinda wish I got a hysterectomy
Yrs happened for myn3rd at 24 but now I’m 41 and want another 1
I don’t regret it. I’m the oddball who’s cycles went lighter and shorter.
Kid at 28, ligation at 33. No regrets.
Didn’t help with endo or PCOS though.
But considering a uterine ablation to deal with periods
Best form of contraception. Never had to worry afterwards about falling pregnant.
The only thing I regret is how bad your periods are afterwards… I had my littlest almost 2 years ago… and it’s like going back to those first few years of ur period where u cramp so bad and bleed so heavy… my Dr didn’t warn me of anything just said ok when I told her I wanted my tubes tied… she said we do ligation and actually take part of a tube out… ok cool… but what about the rest lol definitely should come with a warning
I had my tubes done during my C-section as well 10 years ago and have had severe periods since. I am now 2 weeks post op of having a total hysterectomy.
Tubes tied endometriosis just had to get hysterectomy
I have 6 kids. got mine removed in 2021 after my last was born in 2020 & I haven’t regretted it once.
I do regret not getting my uterus removed as well!
Yes. 100%. Nothing but problems since.
Way worse cycles and all over the place lasting forever. Then none for months on end. PMS for WEEKS.
Hormones outta wack.
I wish I just did the one to stop tbe monthly too
Having your tubes tied won’t help with endometriosis. Have a look at Nancy’s Nook Endometriosis Education and start reading about endometriosis
I went for a hysterectomy removing everything but ovaries. Best decision ever! I had heard awful things about just doing tubes so I opted to ditch 'em all, kept ovaries as to not go directly into menopause though. Good luck!
Yep!!! It was on my 24th Birthday!! I did IVF unsuccessfully 3 times trying to have more kids
I never had a c section. But I did have my tubes, tied and burned. I do kinda miss some days that I didn’t have it done. Sometimes I wish I could have another baby. But I always think of what the outcome would be if I did have another baby. I do regret it at some points.
Just be aware that none of that will help with endo that’s why I have not gotten any of them done yet. I think the only time mine was good since 16 was when I was pregnant and a year after but that was almost right after a surgery as well to clean out the endo , cysts and fibroids
I had advanced stage endometriosis and Getting a hysterectomy was the absolute best thing I ever did, zero regrets
Had my third c section in December and got my tubes tied, my periods are out of control now I bleed through pads and heavy tampons within thirty minutes or so, looking into getting the uterine abrasion done.
Having your tubes removed doesn’t take care of endo. My cramps were so bad I would vomit and my flow was extremely heavy that I would have to wear a tampon and pad and change almost every 2 hours. I had a hysterectomy and don’t regret it at all. I also had 13 miscarriages and that was tough to deal with. I was blessed with an IVF baby and a natural pregnancy for my 2nd. I knew a hysterectomy was the right choice for me.
Removing my tubes was the best thing I have ever done. I went from extremely heavy periods every NINE days that lasted 8-10 days to now at 1 year later on a 24 day cycle and my period lasts 4-5 days light as heck! Everyone’s body and experience is different but I personally have 0 regret (have 3 kids).
I had my tubes tied and burned. The best decision I have ever made
I do. Bleed through super plus tampons in less than 20 minutes, sometimes shorter than that. Cramps are million times worse. If I had known then what I know now, I wouldn’t have gotten it done. I’d rather have pushed out kids I couldn’t care for.
A hysterectomy is a better choice for endometriosis
I had my tubes removed after three kids. I regret it sometimes but realistically I couldn’t afford any more children. My doctor also said I could have more if I wanted to using ivf- because I don’t have issues with getting pregnant and the cost would be relatively inexpensive $3k compared to what traditional ivf cost. However,I know I met my limits with three kids plus it reduced my risk of certain cancers so it was a win- win.
