Ok moms curious if anyone else is thinking of getting a ablation, tubes tied or taken out what did u do? and how has it been since? also recovery time? I no longer want periods or anymore children. I already have 2 boys and I’m completely done I’m 38 years young.
I had mine done almost 10yrs ago and I don’t regret a thing about it
I had my tubes tied 7 years ago and I love it, still get periods but at least I know I can’t get pregnant(the fear when you’re late never completely goes away though )
Neither one can stop your period. I had tubal when I had my daughter via csection. It caused heavier periods for me, which were already horrendous! Last Nov ended up doing an ablation and still struggling. It has decreased, but cramping is worse. My dr did suggest birth control to help with it, but I refuse. Next step would be hysterectomy
I had my tubes taken out in 2020 when I had my son via c-section. I wish they would have taken everything out. I went from maybe spotting for 2 days at the most to full blown horrible periods for 5 to 8 days.
I had an ablation to help heavy periods. It did decrease the flow but I didn’t stop having a period. After a few years the bleeding came back worse and I had a hysterectomy last year.
I had my tubes burnt and I am so sorry I ever did it as my periods have been a nightmare since 7 years now they made them so heavy that some days I can’t leave the house they are that bad. So really think about it 1st. I wish someone had of told me that would happen
Had an ablation….best thing ever! No issues
Had tubes tied and had heavy bleeding after. Ended up getting the ablation done and best decision ever! No more periods and the recovery was a short period of time!
I had a tubal ligation in December after my 5th baby. I’m 35. I was fine. First period sucked so far (not like pain but just a lot of it even after the 6wk baby stuff.) I had my boy at 759p on a Friday and Saturday at 1130a I was getting ready for my surgery. I left the hospital by 10pm that night. (We had a few hiccups with baby and his 24hr testing) but all they I’d for me was make three tiny incisions and out they took them.
I had novasure at 30 I love it
Had an ablation and tubes removed and haven’t had a period since I’ve had it done, minimal cramping at times. But I wouldn’t change my decision.
Had my tubes removed, got super heavy periods so I had an ablation. Best choice ever! My periods went from 1-2 weeks of nightmare fuel, to about three days of the daintiest little pink thing. I was back at work the day after my ablation with minimal cramping.
I had an ablation in 2018. I haven’t had a period since.
Had my tubes out and an ablation because my doctor refused a hysterectomy. It did absolutely nothing. My periods were so bad I was practically sick every month and could hardly walk. My OB had me back on the operating table 10 months later for a hysterectomy. And I don’t regret it. I love not having a period.
