Anyones kid have swollen lymph nodes when they have strep?

Has anybodys kids ever had swollen lymph nodes from strep? My 4y/o’s are huge and this is only day 3 on antibiotics so I know they won’t immediately go down but he literally had no signs or symptoms of strep. She said his throat was a little red. It’s just scaring me because he still sounds like they’re messing up his voice and the doc said it won’t constrict his breathing but what the heck

I had strep… plenty of rest… water. Nurofen for inflammation. The more I spoke the worse I felt.

Yeah, that’s pretty common. They will go down but it will take time.

I had strep and yes they were extremely swollen. It was so uncomfortable and way worse than I thought it would ever be so I send positive thoughts to your kiddo lol

Lymph nodes swell when the body is fighting off an infection, it’s the bodies way of trying to take care of the problem. So, this is totally normal. They’ll go down as the infection goes away. Called Reactive Lymph Nodes.
