Baby boy name ideas?

We already have our boys name set in stone but we are having trouble picking a girls name (well actually coming to an agreement on a girls name lol!) He likes generic popular names and I like older/less generic names… Im looking for opinions, I love Ophelia, Oakley or Oaklynn.

Ophelia is likely not an option at all as hubby really really does not like it and I couldn’t go through with it knowing how much he doesnt like it, he says Oakley is a boys name but I disagree and we could easily spell it differently in a more feminine way. I haven’t mentioned Oaklynn yet but if he goes for it I couls easily use Oakley as a nickname… Whats your favourite name out of these? Other similar suggestions welcome!! Thanks in advance Mommas (please no really negative comments)

Oakley! So adorable for a little boy or girl! My daughter’s name is Avery

My daughter was named Jaxxlynn. My mother wanted Jax if she was a boy and I wanted to name her after my brother who was Gavin Lynn … so now I have Jaxxlynn and it’s unique haven’t heard anyone else with the name and I personally love it. I Love Oaklynn if you can get him in on that name I think you should go with it

I like Oakley and Oaklynn a lot! It was a hard decision but I think Oaklynn is my favorite of the two

U want the truth? I dont really care for those names either. You guys maybe need to combine a name thats cute? Maybe something he likes and something you like?

Cecianna is unique and pretty

Oaklynn is super cute.

Oaklynn is a very cute name! My baby girls name is Paislyn and oaklynn can be spelled different ways

I don’t like any of these names lol

Not to sound rude but I don’t like any of those names…

My son’s name is Oaklen. Ophelia is a pretty name but I fear of what bullies could turn that into. My advice would be for the both of you to write names down each of you likes. Then pick one from each list. This way you’ve both pick a name she will have her first and middle name and you will both get a name you each like

My son’s name is Oakley  but I’ve seen girls named Oakleigh. If we were going to have a girl it would have been Oaklynn
Or Blakelynn

Pearl.
Violet.
Paisley.
Sofia.
Paige.
Margaret or Maggie.
Piper.
Rose.

In sticking with the “O” theme I’ve always liked Olivia or Octavia

I agree wit your husband, i. Not too fond of these names. Maybe you can compromise? One of you choose the middle name and one of you choose the first? Idk.

I actaually know someone whos kids name are oakley, boy, and oaklynn, girl, she also has octavia, girl, and otley, boy. I really like oaklynn

Olivia is a close friends daughters name and Octavia is a previous pets name as well as another friends daughters name so although pretty they arent options

I’m due with my 3rd girl next week and Oakley is on my list, absolutely love it. Remy Jean is also on the top of the list. My 2nd is named Lynlee, it’s got an old feel to it but still very original.

Just to be different Everly

I love Oaklynn, very cute!

Oakley kinda reminds me of a dogs name for some reason. How about Everlyn?

My daughters name is Oaklee.

I like Oaklynn but maybe Oakleigh might be better and yes Olivia or Olive it is up o you I guess and maybe the spelling of her name may change his mind

I have an Ella and a Hannah both named after grandmas

Octavia, Cecelia, Margot, Blake, Blair, Annalise…I would stay away from brand names like Oakley (sunglasses)

I have a family member who’s name was Oda Odell. I have always liked the way the two sound together :grinning:

If u really like Ophelia (beautiful imo), let him pick part of it & u use yours too. That way each has a say

Alivia is a modern twist on Olivia, a good compromise between old and new. My daughter’s name is Alexia, we had considered using Alivia for the daughter I am now carrying, but it was the two names were too similar. Daughter to-be’s name is Avaley Julia, first name sounds like an older name, but is a modern version of Ava.

Not to sound rude but I don’t like any of those names…

I love the name oaklynn

Oaklynn reminds me of Oakland the city. But I’m from the Bay Area where it’s located.

I agree I do not like ophelia at alll! But Olivia ok… jus not a fan it o names for girls.

Avalynn is a name I heard recently & it was the first & only time. I thought it was pretty & sort of similar to the name Oaklynn you liked.

My daughter’s middle name is Ophelia… Phoenix Ophelia

How about OakleyAnne?

Or use a version of your names such as Jacelyn?

Oaklyn is cute from your list. Octavia is a great girls name. Zaylen, Briella, Acelyn, Brynlee, Shanley, Jaylin, Westlyn, Arabella, Aria

Opal, oleala, olly olive. Olivia, ohmara, ohanna

How about Ora it was my grandmother’s name and I’ve only heard one other person having that name

If you’re not totally stuck on an O name i think Quinn is so pretty. We also considered Jade, Spencer, Mila, Marley and Nori

Ohleena…Oakleigh…Odelia…Oralee…

Have you thought of Berkley

I’d no help since I don’t like any of those. I think Irene is beautiful. Or Octavia.

Would Oakleigh be more appealing to him?

What about Oliviana or Olympia. If not set on “O” names, a few old fashion names I like: Georgette, Clementine, Josephine, Victoria.

Olivia, Amberlyn,Arianna, Amberly,Everly, Paisley, Justine.
