Our alternative names for our boys were Dominic, Audrick, Kade, Miklos and Zechariah.
We ended up naming the boys Nixon, Cavan and Judah

Wondering how long this group takes to post questions. Baby is already probably born and named BUT please remember…this is not all about you, consider the child, consider the spelling, will this child be made fun of? Will the name be able to be pronounced based on your spelling? Will the name be able to be spelled based on your pronunciation? These kids have a future that they will have to deal with and it’s not all about the parents being “edgy and unique”

I had a friend who named her baby after her grandfather, Henry. I thought at first, "what an old fashioned weird name for a new little baby. The boy is seven now and he is a perfect looking Henry. So even really old names can work.

I decided on Oakley but my babies name was between Nixon & Oakley
I’d also stay away from the in’s and Leigh’s. So common and overused…Aiden, Kayden, Jayden, Brayden and kyleigh, myleigh, Ryleigh, etc etc etc…all pronounced the same and spelled different ways.

We have a 4 year old Tucker, we chose the name an hour before leaving the hospital. Have yet to meet another. Also if I may add he’s Independent, Outgoing and Strong Willed.
