Hey mamas, my daughter is 1 month old and I can’t seem to find a formula that agrees with her stomach. I have tried simulac total care, similar sensitive, enfamil gentle ease, gerber gentle pro. My mother in law recommended Nutramigen and she doesn’t seem to do well with that one either. She has been very gassy. Is there a formula out there that I don’t know about that you guys have tried with your little ones that I should try out ? Please let me know in the comments. I wish I could have breastfed but I unfortunately didn’t produce any milk this pregnancy and I’m having a hard time finding the right formula.
My son couldn’t have dairy. There was a certain Gerber one that worked for him. I don’t remember the kind…I think it was a purple label.
What does the pediatrician say?
Have you tried goat milk based formula
You’re changing so many formula brands for such a little stomach no wonder she’s gassy and upset
Progestimil(?) Also, keep in mind that you can get Prescriptions from your pediatrician for the more expensive formulas (or any) and your insurance should help cover it. Just take the Prescription to the Pharmacy and they can order it.
We jad same issue and found kendemil. Comes from England sold at walmart, a lil more pricy but worth it, they have a cow milk and goat milk formula
I would suggest trying goat milk based formula.
Similac Sensitive helped with one of my babies. I see you have tried that one already but are you giving it enough time to let her body digest and adjust to the change of formula first? Maybe look into Enfamil AR. It’s more for spit up but it also helped another one of my babies with gas and spitting up. I hope you find the right one for your little one.
I used nutramigen many years ago . I am so sorry it didn’t work for you
Check out the Mama Bear Formulas on Amazon! We had a very gassy uncomfortable baby until we switched!
Try goat milk based formula. Kendamil or Kabrita
I have been here!!! It’s exhausting and expensive. After seeing a GI team please know it can take 1 week for a baby to adjust to a formula switch. So doing big changes quickly won’t be helpful. Also ask your pediatrician to check for blood and milk protein in their stools. Sometimes you can actually see the milk protein (white blobs) if you try an allergy formula your insurance should work with you to cover it
Try baby soy milk that’s what both my kids went on for same reasons.
I agree with comments above. Give her tummy a little time to adjust to the formula you are using now. Definitely consult with pediatrician and see but she definitely might need more than a few days to adjust
What does her pediatrician recommend?
Try enfamile lactose free. Baby might be intolerant to lactose.
Similac alimentum I don’t know if I spelled that right
