Best makeup for a 10 year old?

My daughter is about to turn 10 here soon. What kind of makeup do you let your 10 year old have?

You can get some great make up kits for kids on ebay

I went to the Dollar Tree. You can find the name brand there sometimes. Told her if you can make the cheap stuff look good then I might buy the good stuff… Now at 12 almost 13. She doesn’t care anymore. Lol.

No makeup. She is too young,

I only got to wear nude colors no bright nothing. 10 is just too young I think I mean 3 yrs away from even entering teens. Let them keep their innocence for as long as they can. I think really imparting good hygiene and beauty tips is a great precursor to wearing full blown makeup. Like hair, skin, nails, teeth feet, hands care and smelling good and eating good is where the beauty should start. But if you want to start small for such a young girl start with moisturizing and toner maybe a little highlights but not full foundation and bronzing. With eyes just keep nudes and light pinks, and peaches, and teach shadow and shading, and I got clear mascara that young and it still brings out lashes just not too mature. With lips just gloss, or glitter nothing crazy. I would just start small it’s your daughter but all women know makeup is not good for your skin or eyes and it does get attention sometimes from the wrong kind of people. Just my opinions, I was 10 once going on 18 and looked way older than my age and yes I wasn’t taught anything and did all the worse makeup habits in secret. This is a great topic and question.

My 10 year old has no interest in makeup but if she did, I’d allow lip gloss and clear mascara in public. Anything at home

My 4yo daughter loves to ‘dress up’ with me for work. Right now, I just give her whats left on the powder foundation & blush brushes when im done. If we’re not leaving the house, I let her do her eye shadow & lip gloss.

For her own 1st kit id just get the base…maybe a tinted moisturiser like BB cream, power foundation, blush & maybe eye shadows & lip balm… OOo & wipes/remover.
She can create lipstick using the lip balm & eye shadow.
Cheaper the better so it doesn’t go on heavy. Let her get creative when at home. I loved ‘putting face on’ as a little girl. Watching grandma pick out n apply her lipstick from some anchient dressing table. I loved art & was pretty good at wearing it on my face by high school.

I know you’re asking about make-up, but I’d like to suggest you looking in to more of a skin care routine for her to learn to do, with natural/healthy products to take care of her (youthful) skin, products that will keep her skin healthy, as she enters her pre/teen years that many people struggle with changes that also affect our skin. Help her to like her natural beauty. But if she eventually chooses to wear actual make-up when she is at an age when you are okay with it, help her to select non toxic (CLEAN) products that are also beneficial to her skin, and that only enhance her natural beauty, not cover it, or alter or completely transform her features/appearance.

None I am sure she is beautiful with out makeup, as are most women. Let her be a kid. Stop taking away their childhood.

I want my daughter to know she’s beautiful without makeup! I don’t want her thinking she has to put on makeup to look nice to leave the house. I want her to be secure in her looks before she starts to add makeup. She is 13 know and we struggle with her confidence because she thinks because other girls her age wear a shit ton of makeup she should be allowed to. She’s 13 there is absolutely no reason for her to be coloring eye brows and wearing full coverage anything. I let her wear a bit of concealer lip gloss and mascara to leave the house. She has other makeup of mine I don’t use to play around with and practice.

Kids grow up fast enough as it is. Let her be a kid. No need to wear makeup that younger ( of younger as some have said). I have seen some girls not even 5 yet and full of makeup. Ridiculous!!!

My daughter won’t wear make up until she’s 12 or 13. I want my little girl to look her age

Children makeup they have on Amazon.

None. Use some common sense. Makeup absorbs and clogs pores. It’s full of toxic chemicals. You are wanting your child to poison themselves with toxic chemicals absorbing into her skin.

At 10, my daughter had a skin care routine. She liked and used skin care products such as face mask, scrubs, lotions, esstial oils, ice roller and stuff like that. Other than lipgloss or maybe some mascara here and there, I say wait till she is older for makeup

Id start with smaller products. Lip gloss, mascara maybe and a small amount of eye shadow. I wouldn’t go crazy with tons of foundation, blush, and all that other stuff. Id let her know its fine to want to wear makeup, but she doesn’t have to. I know some people think they HAVE to wear makeup and won’t go anywhere without it or even let anyone see them without it. 10 is an age where things can change for a girl.

Please don’t buy kids makeup sets they are not regulated by the fda like real makeup. Just get some elf brand cheap makeup

My girls wear elf. It’s vegan and natural and it’s not to expensive. They have all there facial products for skin care that they have. My girls are older but they only wear mascara, foundation and blush , lip gloss sometimes one with a tint

Lip gloss
Moisturiser- only if needed

Otherwise- We’re a no makeup household unless it’s a special occasion like a wedding etc

None, my daughter is almost 13 and doesn’t wear makeup. Even if she wanted to it would be a no until she’s at least 16 like I was. When I was 10 I was wearing lip gloss

Morphe is great and not expensive

I didn’t let my daughter start wearing make up until this year. She’s 14 and going into the 9th grade.

Never did. Too young. Let her be a kid! Right now just teach her to use skin cremes to take care of her skin.

For a 10 year old? Lipgloss outside. She can play with eyeshadow, blush, lipstick in the house.

Klee kids is mineral based non toxic and dye free. That’s what I got my daughter in 4th grade. For skin care she has face wash, lotion, and those round pad face wipes that prevent acne

Elf is a good brand to start with. You can get her basic makeup and they have a skincare set too. Skincare is the most important part. Also knowing her skin type…(oily, dry, etc)

I try not to limit what my 11 year old can do with her body/face. When she started asking about makeup we went to Ulta and got some different things, like lipgloss, blush, bronzer and eye shadow and a natural shade of mascara. Then we went home and she started playing with it. I don’t wear much make up so I think that helps the next part. We’ve talked about the purpose of make up, how much is too much and that the end goal is to only amplify her natural beauty.

None !! You don’t want your kids looking older than they actually are, attracting unwanted attention.

At 10?? NONE unless you’re trying to raise a stripper!

No little girl should be wearing makeup in public anyway! Playing dress up at home is fine but , in public? No way.

I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup until I was 13. I had little kid makeup sets that I could put on at home but I had to wash it off if I was leaving the house.

Colourpop is a really good brand that’s also cheaper. I use it as an adult but it would also be good for younger ones. Start with moisturizer and skincare first so she can get in the habit of doing that before makeup

None, unless it was for a school function or banquet I just wore lipgloss. I couldn’t even wear nail polish until I was in high school. So many moms literally encourage their kids to grow up sooner than they should and it’s mind-boggling.

My kiddo started with nars tinted moisturizer and maybelline clear mascara with elf blush and Eloise lip oil. You have to be careful of sensitivities to makeup products. Ensure she has a solid skin routine if she’s going g to start wearing makeup.

Not one bit. Let your kids be kids.

Why her skin already nature be beauty

A 10 yr old girl doesn’t need makeup. This rush to push girls into early adolescent is the root cause of many behavioral and personal developmental problems. Dont give in to the pressure to do so.

Tinted Chapstick is about it!

no make up she,s too young

None-only for dance/baton recitals

Lip gloss. I didn’t think little girls wore makeup.

Chapstick, lip gloss. Done. They don’t need any other makeup.

Got my daughter IPSY for Christmas for the year. I was tired of her taking my items.
