Best online school for teens?

My 16 year old son is wanting to do online classes for school so he can graduate high school early. Does anyone know of the best online programs? Please no judgement! We have both talked about it.

Look into dual enrollment with the local community college. He wouldn’t necessarily finish high school early but it would get him a jump start on college (usually free of charge or extremely reduced fee) if that’s a route he’s wanting to go after high school

This is a BRILLIANT idea.
My friend graduated with me at 16 and went straight on to Cal Poly.
I totally support!

*following for info for my kid

I don’t know where you are but my daughter took the state test at 16, graduated and went straight to college. I’m in California, I’m not sure what your state offers.

Kevin zadia has a online school

Sometimes the schools have a program through then you could try that. Or any online schooling in your area.

Penn foster my daughter graduated in less then 7 months

My daughter did Penn Foster for her senior year! She had a horrible 11th grade year so we took her out of public school. You do have to pay for it. But she finished her senior year in 3 weeks. It’s work at your own pace. You set your own hours and everything. She was able to keep a full time job while finishing high school.

We homeschooled my teen for 8th and 9th but he started k12 this year for 10th and he’s loving it so far. They sent all the books/laptop and he’s met all his teachers and they even set him up with a speech therapist (he had autism so needs help with social skills)

My daughter did k12 for a year
If she wanted to be home, that’s what we’d do

I don’t know where you’re located but my brother went through K-12 online.

I think online is better too. Haven’t tried it yet. Other than when everything was shut down

We use power homeschool with our 16 yr old. It keeps track of everything for you, and you can log in at any time to make sure they are doing their work.

K12.

But I gave my kids the same options. You can graduate at 18 with your friends in school or get your GED at 16 and get a job. One kid chose high school. The other chose GED. Both work now and have good lives.
