Best way to dye my childs hair?

My daughter is obsessed with black and purple and she’s on this kick for months for wanting her hair dyed those colors. Well I’m not ready for that just yet…but I may be willing to do strips of purple in her hair. What products would you reccommend that is not permanent, but will go away after washes? And if you’ve seen my post before, I’m trying to keep her self esteem going and at least trying to meet in the middle, I just don’t want to ruin her blonde hair.

Maybe get her a nice wig, they have them for quite cheap on shein

Arctic Fox. That is what I used on my oldest son’s hair. Haven’t used it on youngest yet.

I dyed my daughters hair purple (mostly highlights) when she was in Kindergarten (the covid era)

We used Arctic Fox brand dye. It’s non permanent and free of a lot of crap. We got it at Sally’s Beauty Supply

She’s also a natural blonde.

My mom Always let me dye my hair I’ve had every color you can think of she said she could be doing far worse than wanting colored hair
Hair grows back hair can go back to normal hair color let your child express themselves in a harmless way let them know if someone in the outside world doesn’t accept it YOU do

I’ve used artic fox, manic panic, unicorn & Brad mondos line in both my girls and myself. It fades.

You could do the Kool aid dye

They got vegan dyes now. Always been told peroxide is less harsh than bleach or ammonia based dyes.

I used Arctic Fox on both my boys. It came out in about 20 washes. Doesn’t damage their hair at all!! Both of my boys have blonde hair as well. Their hair was not ruined.

Whatever you use do NOT use the Splat brand. Arctic fox or Manic panic are my recommendation.

Either manic panic, artic fox or the Brad mondo or iro brands

Hair chalk or clip in extensions.

Arctic Fox works really well.

There’s a conditioner that deposits color after every wash, it fades rather quickly.

Kool Aid is what my daughter used

This works great on blonde hair. I use it between dyes to keep my colors vibrant, but I have also put it in my sons hair and it washes out after a few washes.

If she has lighter colored hair, you can use koolaid to dye it.

Also could consider wigs or clip ons with the colors she wants to see if she actually likes it.

Do not use Splat!

Manic Panic
Iroiro
Artic Fox are all good choices.

Arctic fox! Or buy clip extensions that way she can see what it looks like before actually putting the color in her hair

Arctic fox or the Brad mondo dyes

Color crazy on amazon works great

It’s hair. It grows out. Let her do it!

Let her dye the ends. That way it’s not getting in the roots and can be cut off.

Manic panic or Arctic fox.
Or…just throw back to the 90s/2000s and go clip ins lol

I have been letting my kiddos dye there hair for a while now. We use Arctic fox and have always had great success

it depends on the hair. I’ve tried arctic fox and the colourista by L’Oréal on my kiddo and neither of them stayed in his hair, no matter how long I left them on. we’d go to wash it out after dyeing it and it would be instantly gone. I’ve had good results with manic panic, it does hang around in his hair but honestly, it’s just hair and I’m not too bothered by it. depositing colour isn’t as damaging as lifting (bleaching) is. stay away from splat.

Manic panic os more permanent
