Birthday ideas for 3 kids?

I have 3 kids with birthdays in May. What are some cheap things we can do as a family for them? May is very expensive for us.

Find a spot at a park and buy a Safeway cake and dollar store decor, they will love it. Face painting. Or bounce house.

how old are the kids?

maybe like an amusement park or a beach trip?

I was literally thinking the same for our son who turns 7 in May. In my opinion our cheapest was have family and friends over- rent a bounce house and just have a bbq maybe think of some games for the kids too!

Picnic at a park. Cake, balloons, juice boxes, playground.

Home: pizza, piñatas with cheap bags of candy, bags for kids to take home their candy. One big cake with three number candles for each child to blow out or three little cakes, or cupcakes in each child’s favorite flavor (or all chocolate).

Home: musical chairs, pin the tail on the donkey (can cut a donkey-ish shape and tails out of construction paper) scarf for blindfold and use tape to “pin” the tails. Musical chairs. Hopscotch. Sing alongs with each birthday child’s fave song (as long as lyrics are OK). Cake, drinks, ice cream.

Get cheap T-shirts (white or all the same color so fewer arguments) or baseball caps in different sizes based on the kids coming at the craft store. Buy “liquid embroidery” or permanent markers (have the kids bring smocks/shirts they can mess up) and let each kid decorate their own.

Go to a park/nature center and have a (presumably free) talk and demo about plants or animals. Give each child a paper cup with their name on it and let them scoop in garden soil and plant seeds to take home. Bring cake or cupcakes and candles.

Get a couple parents to chaperone and take the kids for a tour of someplace. Manufacturing plant, water or sewage treatment plant, historic property, farm, fire or police station. Should be free. Scouts may be able to get badges, police may have junior detective or sheriff stickers. Even a cemetery with interesting history, tombstones, sculptures, etc. could make a fascinating tour.

Take everyone on a mini trip to go for a little hike and see a great view, waterfall, whatever.

We do movie night
Turn off all the lights
Popcorn
Box of each favorite candy
Blankets and pillows
And a great family movie
