I’m a SAHM exclusively breastfeeding my 3 month old and haven’t pumped much since giving birth, only a little here and there. I’m going back to work soon and lately I’ve been pumping and giving her bottles to prepare for when I start working to make things easier on dad. Would it cause issues to give bottles during the day and breastfeed throughout the night?
Not issues as such but baby will maybe become constipated.so may need just watch for that but otherwise it’d be fine
I think its ok to do that
Should be good. My babygirl has taken the bottle and boob since 2 weeks old. I use the mam bottles. No problems over here and she is 10 weeks today
Thats how most breastfeeding moms that work have to do it. I breastfed both of my babies for over a year by pumping (regularly and on a schedule) while at work to get a store for the next day for them to have in bottles then breastfeeding when I was with them. It works great.
My kids were happy to be fed any way, breast or bottle. My second I was able to pump at work and breastfeed at home. My first I was unable to pump at work, but fed him as much breast milk as I could when I was home and supplemented with formula.
It doesn’t matter how you feed them as long as you’re utilizing any means to express the milk to keep your supply up… of course baby empties breast better so anytime you can get baby on there that is great… but pumping as much as you can also helps that supply as well. Don’t get concerned around the 3 month mark your supply “learns” your baby better and you’ll have a drop this is normal and does not mean anything is wrong, just means your body is not in overdrive anymore and has figured out what baby needs. Also, if you take a picture or something with babies scent while you pump at work it will help bring your “let down” in as your body releases oxytocin from looking and smelling your baby. Goodluck on your journey!
We do that and my 3 month old is good with both. No issues
Depends on your baby. My first son adjusted fine. My 2nd did not.
Babies will adjust and eat when they are hungry. It shouldn’t be a problem if she’s taking bottles already.
