Can I breastfeed with implants?

Can someone tell their experience breastfeeding with breast implantes in front of the muscle? I’m 34 weeks and kind of nervous about that. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to do it. Thanks!

Yes you can but I’ve heard it can possibly restrict your production

I’ve had no problems with my implants and my supply has been great. 14 months and still going!

Mine are under the muscle and I didn’t make enough milk. I tried everything, even acupuncture to increase supply. The NICU doctor who did the acupuncture said she thought the implants created too much pressure for me to build up/store an adequate amount. You probably won’t have that problem being over the muscle, though.

Mines also under the muscle and no problems at all!!! My lil one is 24 months and still nursing

No advice but I wish you the best of luck.

I had no issues breastfeeding multiple children

It’s possible! You should look into a La Leche League (it’s a free group and leaders would be happy to help!) near you for support and find a lactation consultant.

I breastfed with no problems at all. However mine are behind the muscle

I don’t have implants but my cousin does and she breastfed her baby for like 26 months! Not sure if the placement are behind the muscle or not but thought I’d share with you that she was able to(:

I have Nexplanon and I breastfeed my son. It doesnt effect anything

I heard you can perfectly fine. The implants do not effect the milk ducts.

Is it safe for a mother to breastfeed her infant if she has silicone breast implants?
