Can I get help paying fines?

Guys help… my husband is a co-signer on my van and he has blocks on his license due to fines. He has to pay on these fines before I can get another temp tag due to the business that sold me it shutting down and I don’t have a title for it yet. Our income is on the lower side due to him only working and we have 3 kids. 4,18 months and a newborn. Does anyone know of any programs to help Pay the fines off? Tia

The answer to this question would be specific to your country/state/county/city.

But if you’re in the US, there aren’t any agencies that will help you pay fines. They’re fines, meaning your husband broke the law and was penalized for doing so. He will have to pay those penalties to have the restrictions on his license removed.

I suggest reaching out to family/friends for financial help.

Temp plates are usually only good for 30 days and you don’t need a title to get plates. You just need proof of purchase and the Vin number. Still paying on a car doesn’t stop you from getting plates so you should be able to get regular plates. As for the fines maybe he needs to be more responsible and pay them when he gets them. He might have to get a temporary part time job to pay the fines.

In Montana, you get the title after you license your vehicle. They are a no hold title state

So this is a worldwide page, this is something you want to post on your personal Facebook, no one can help you because we have no idea where you are, what we have here may not be available where you are

How did you get the first temporary tag

Did they shut down right after? They should have sent the memorandum title to you

Sometimes cities have amnesty periods where if you go during that time frame and take care of it they wipe it clean or reduce the fines significantly.
*eta. Depending on what the fines are
