Have any moms given their kids bai water? My daughter is three and doesn’t drink any kind of juice at all by my choice of not wanting to give her high sugar drinks. Just water and almond milk (my family is allergic to dairy) are all she drinks. Lately, she has wanted to have more flavored drinks and wasn’t sure qhat to give her that didn’t have a lot of sugar in it. What do you guys give your toddlers?
I buy those small bottles of concentrated juice an you have a full cup of water an one squirt of the bottle a little goes a super long way
Put lemon and cucumber slices in a jug of water
Add mio for flavoring to water. 0 sugars
I do infused water a lot or the ICE water - it has little to no sugar and a lot of flavor
My 2 yr old likes fruit water, he actually calls it juice. Obviously you can buy it or make your own fruit infused water.(I have a fruit infuser “fruit jug” in my fridge) juicy juice just came out with flavored water juice boxes, we have orange right now and they’re pretty good.
Body Armor water is the way to go!! They taste like jucey juice !!
To actually answer your question yes you can give her Bai water. You can also buy fruit(any kind)and make your own. I like watermelon and mint water
I just mix 2-3 oz apple or orange juice with 5-6 oz water.
Water and milk why do you need anything else.
We did flavored waters using fruit or carbonated flavored water when they got to asking for pop.
My daughter loves the bai drinks!
Bai has caffeine so I wouldn’t recommend it for young ones. My son really just loves all kinds of sparkling water. We just get the Kirkland band! He will run to the fridge and ask for “my sparkle”
Nestle splash flavored waters
Water with a splash of juice.
My son likes propel. I’m not sure how much sugars in it bc I don’t really care but it’s really yummy so it’s something to look into!
Gatorade Zero or powerade zero
My littles love propel water
So research bai and gas/stomach issues. I used to drink them all the time and couldnt figure out why I was constantly gassy, crampy, and nauseous. All I was drinking was 1 a day and it was making me so sick.
Water with the Mio water flavoring.
My kid loves propel its flavored water
We do flavored water.
Kool aid… we love koolaid …
My son lived off of crystal light. He was breast fed but very chunky. So he would get diluted juices or crystal light. Pediatrician never had a prob with it
We do propel & Gatorade zero.
Water with crystal light
Make your own flavored water.
I just cut my sons juice with water, like 50/50 or 25water/75 juice
I give my 2 yo some of my flavored water(I use the zero sugar one) and dilute it with water so it has just a hint of flavor. That’s what we call juice.
We buy the flavored sparkling water from Walmart
I do about 2 ounces of juice mixed with about 5 ounces of water.
My daughter is the same way with her boys ages 10 and 12. They have never had pop. They do get juice so.e but mostly water but they love hint water
You can always add lemon or strawberries to her water. My son loves lemon flavored water. I also give my boy juice but mix is with more water than juice. We do a little chocolate milk too.
Red bull with a twist of lime
We hardly ever do juice. You could totally make infused water tho. Lime, strawberry and mint are my faves
try the true lime or true lemonade packets. t is made with stevia and not sugar. I wouldn’t use anything with aspartame. we split each serving between both of my kids 19 oz. water bottles and it’s perfect for them. I use a whole one in my 32 oz cup for myself.
It has 0 sugar 0 calories 0 caffeine 0 sodium and u buy them at Walmart and there are many different flavors
On occasion I buy my son V8 fusions. Mix of vegetable and fruit juice and I get the healthy greens one, that has even less sugar then their other ones.
Water and fresh watermelon is so good and I also love sliced cucumbers in water it’s so refreshing
Buy the squirt bottles to fill in water
We try to stay with more natural juices when we do any juice. We usually get the naked juice(well, the knock off brand) and dilute it, or get simply juice or something that’s not made from concentrate, but still dilute. If you look at bai water it actually has caffeine in it. I’m not saying that we have never given our child bai, but after a few times we wondered why our son had so much energy and actually read the label on bai and realized it has natural caffeine source. Ever since then we try to read labels and dilute any juice
Drop a drop of food colouring in a "juice " container with water
Infuse the water with cucumber/ mint, a berry mix, a citrus mix…
Spa water. Its basically cucumber, lemon, and mint(?). Any who its delicious
I personally love bai but ot does have a little caffeine in it, like a cup of tea. I cut my sons juice about 25% juice, 75% water.
Gatorade once in a while
I do… it doesnt have any junk or sugars in it… its delicious and much better than any juice you could give them I give then sips of mine I dont pour into their cups
My son has an issue with his throat (I forget what it’s called but it’s like heartburn without the burning sensation - he feel like he has something stuck in his throat) so, no more pop for him (or fried foods, etc…). I’ve been buying Nestle flavored water for him and he likes it. **I hate buying Nestle because it’s a jerk of a company but, ya gotta do what you gotta do, I guess
We use the sugar free water flavors
I’ve always offered watered down juice. Even my six year old drinks watered down juices. And me and my fiancé mainly drink water and sometimes tea so our kids don’t really ever want anything else.
I make my kids fruit ice te
We love propel. Powerade zero. The flavoring packets. Some have 0 sugar.
And if they have juice I make 50/50 water
My friend told me about this. It’s safe for kids/ pregnant woman
I give my kids bottled water with flavored stevia drops. Super yummy
It’s basically water
I give my son SUPER SUPER watered down kool aid.
I let mine drink karma water sometimes and organic juice like the honest company has less sugar, has vitamin c and is way diluted down.
What about protein water? I like protein 2o the coconut is good. Not much sugar and has protein.
We buy the sugar free powders & add to water. They have tons of flavors & they are $1 at the dollar store.
Bubly or fruit juice ice cubes in water bottle
maybe do half a packet of crystal light?
You can cut up fruit like strawberries, apples, oranges, lemon, even cucumber and flavor water naturally.
I mix half juice half water if she drinks juice. I’m sure small amounts of bai water would be fine just not all the time but beware of artificial sweeteners they are worse than sugar imo
Oh my goodness its your first kid right? Lighten up give them some sugar here and there. You’ll still be a good mom.
We put lemon or lime slices in our water jug for a change some times but we are the same Even with “sugar free” drinks
Buy oranges and squeeze the juice out yourself…
Yes, I give it to my 10 mo old granddaughter as,well as Fuji water. The only two types of water I will give her.
Hint! Our favorite is watermelon and cherry
You can infuse fruit into water
My kids love crystal light ! Many flavors no sugars …
Fruit in water! My kid is no juice either
I add to fruit to regular water, my kids love it!
Orange or grape juice pressed or squeezed from fresh fruit. Unless you child is diabetic natural sugars from fruit is good for them.
You could try infusing her water with fruit, veg and herbs or juice your own juice and water it down you can also try smoothies and shakes
I give my son body armor drinks. They are mostly coconut water so not bad for him and its better than high sugar juices and kool aids. Hes 20 months old.
I give my son mio. Theres no sugar, calories, or anything. Of course its not completely natural like putting fruit in the water but there are a lot of flavor options
I give body armors or watered down fruit juice.
It has caffeine so I wouldn’t suggest it. Better off with minute maid.
Regular flavored water doesn’t have sugar in it. For the longest time that was the only way o could get my twins to drink water.
I give my kids a coke.
Rachael Beaulieu
Hint Water, zero sugar
There is nothing wrong with a 100% juice here and there. I’d rather real juice then a sugar substitute. You give her fruit right. Fruit has natural sugar. DO NOT give a child diet drinks like crystal light. 100 % Orange juice and Apple juice are better then other processed drinks… a little sugar won’t hurt her.
I put frozen fruit in water. It’s really tasty
I occasionally give it to my daughter. She’s 4, and loves certain flavors. She also like just regular coconut waters. I just wouldn’t give it to them in the evening. Ask v8 splash watered down, both my kids like a lot.
Pour a juice box in her cup and water it down. Only get the 100% juice ones.
Bai has quite a bit of caffeine in it.
I like to freeze real fruit and put it in my water. Gives a hint of natural flavor with natural sugars
Don’t give the kids to many different types when it don’t freeze in minus degree weather something not right with it
I hope I’m not going to get slammed for this like I did with the tea…but children should not be drinking electrolytes on a regular basis. Over hydration can lead to water intoxication.
She’s shouldn’t have almond milk at her age she should have another alternative like oat milk ect
I buy the low suger fruit and veggie juices like V8 and then water it down.
Remember that the sugar we can’t process is fructose! Glucose and sucrose are a-ok for our bodies, but they’re all labeled together. Fruits and veggies have sucrose and glucose. You mostly would want to avoid added sugars! So read the labels and see if there are added sugars or high fructose corn syrup. If not: it’s natural sugars that our bodies have processed for thousands of years!
Good on you for limiting white sugar and fructose!
I just cut my sons juice with water, like 50/50 or 25water/75 juice
Carrot juice is wonderful or coconut water. You could Get a fruit infuser bottle you can do just about any fruit let it soak for a day you get flavored water…strawberry blueberry etc but don’t di banana its slimy. Also t Wal-Mart I get bags of blueberry strawberry and kale mix frozen and blend it up with plain yogurt or for myself aloe juice it makes a really yummy drink. You could def use almond milk and its antioxidant superfood blend which is wonderful. Only 9 bucks a bag then there’s caffeine free teas with floral tastes like dandelion, lavender, rose and skullcap (smells like apples) or even licorice root flavor(my son’s favorite) they have no sugar but when you sip them they have a wonderful sweet taste. My son loves those kinds of things. And if she’s not use to sugar the smallest amount of agave or raw honey would go a long long way. And the honey is antimicrobial/supports immune health. (Has to be raw. The processed honey doesn’t have the benefits) Beet juice is another really yummy natural juice but can cause stool to loosen up so small amounts not frequently.
Tropicana makes awesome probiotic juices too. No added sugar color or preservatives all natural fruit juices. Great for gut and bowel health. 8oz a day just mix that cup in bottle with water she could have it all day and still only get one cup of juice.
Just remember drinks that’s advertise they have zero sugar usually have artificial sweeteners which can be worse than sugar itself. Giving watered down juice is probably better than drinks like crystal light, propel, or other drinks that use artificial sweeteners. Just check your ingredients first.
Vitamin water it’s for flavor and no added sugar
I’m sure it does have a bit more sugar in it but chocolate almond milk is delicious! Also, I don’t know the sugar content of fruit and vegetable V8 but that’s also a hit at my house.
Bai drinks are low in sugar. When I had gestational diabetes these drinks never spiked my sugar. Most of them only have 1 gram of sugar per serving which is ideal compared to other drinks.
