Ok ladies my friend of mine had her last child in March and the doctor told her in June she was anemic she went for a check up because she had a lot of body soreness and etc the doctor did prescribe her some iron pills , so it’s been a year now and we were just wondering is it safe to donate blood if your anemic ? Or Does it depend on how much blood you donate ?

They will check your iron level prior to donating. If the level is good, donate away!

You cannot donate being anemic at all! If your levels are good yes but if not no.

If your borderline or anemic here in Australia you cannot donate until there at a satisfactory level.
I’m anemic only during my period and I have to be on iron pills and pain pills because mine are so serve but other then that I’m usually perfectly fine this only happened after having my son and hormones changed

Check blood levels again to see first
