Can you feel pregnancy symptoms right after you conceive?

We had sex two days ago when I was ovulating and I swear today I feel different. Even nauseated and wanting to throw up. Did anyone else show symptoms really early? When should I test?

I could tell three ish days later but didn’t believe it since no period in 5 years, but sure enough I was.

Best time to test is 2 weeks after your missed period… I doubt that you will be showing pregnancy symptoms at this early stage, symptoms could be brought on by your mindset thinking you are…

I’m pretty sure intense fatigue set in the week I conceived

Not unless you’re already pregnant

I would say that is way too early to have pregnancy symptoms. Ovulation and a fluctuation in hormones can cause that sometimes. You could have a intuition about it but medically speaking no.

I knew three days after. not even kidding. I had heart burn and hot flashes bad.

No, implantation doesn’t happen until 6-12 days after you ovulate

Only time I suspected was when I believe it was implantation bleeding. Not even sure how long after sex but I went bathroom one day and had a little spot of blood. I wasn’t close to my period. I didn’t wanna get my hopes up so I tried not to overthink it. But behold, I’m 37 weeks pregnant now lol

So technically you can’t tell but with both of mine I knew within a week just a gut feeling, nausea and feeling off. I tested weekly and finally convinced myself I was crazy🤣 but sure enough at 4-5 weeks I would test positive.

Me with a 6 year old never feeling any pregnancy symptoms only getting told by my OBGYN I was high risk because I told him I had been drinking and doing ecstasy ( haven’t done it ever since I found out I was pregnant) & on top of that I didn’t show till i was 8 months &&&&&&&&&&& I had a healthy 4 lb baby full term also ( yes all of my moms kids where 4 - 6 lbs so It’s not weird mine was little )

I start throwing up as soon as sperm meets egg and dont stop until after I deliver. Ive known within days after conceiving my 2 out of 3 … my mom knew the first time before I did I was convinced it was the flu . She was like nope wait another week and get a test sure enough… positive. !

I didn’t start to feel like trash until a week or so with mine. With my sons I knew it but with my daughter my boyfriend knew before I did. I was in denial

My mom knew she was pregnant as soon as she woke up the next day . Everyone told her she was crazy but she just knew . She said she woke up both times and was like yep I’m pregnant and then took a test a week or so later and it was positive

The day after I ovulated with my 3rd child I knew I was pregnant. My boobs were super duper sensitive to anything touching them and sure enough I found out I was pregnant about two weeks later

Yes. When your hormones start to rise you can start feeling them. I didn’t until about 10 weeks though. This is pretty darn early though….

I believe I read somewhere that it takes 5 days for the sperm to reach the egg.

I knew before my period was due yes, did a test the day I was due and came up pregnant. 1993. My boobs were like rocks and i vomited everyday I was pregnant. I just new !!!

No. Symptoms that are pregnancy related don’t start until hcg starts to rise, which happens after implantation. Implantation happens on average between 6-12 dpo depending on travel time to the uterus. What a lot of people think are early pregnancy Symptoms are actually just normal cyclical hormone changes.

I think you can. It’s your body and you should know. But don’t get your hopes up until you get tested.

I mean your egg and his sperm might just be meeting… so I would think no
But it might be possible if your egg implants

I knew I was pregnant at about 1 week. Could feel it in my gut, literally. My husband told me I was crazy for a month before I threw up and took test.

When I got pregnant with my daughter I knew exactly when it happened and looked at my husband and told him well we just got pregnant and that following period never came lol. However with my son we tried for 8 months and I had given up and I had a test left which I had just test neg 2 days prior and I was like wth took it counting on a neg but it was positive and I have no feeling at all of pregnancy like I did with my daughter it was crazy Bc I kept looking for the signs symptoms that I had with her but nope completely different

Not at all. You aren’t even technically pregnant until implantation… only then will your hormones start changing.

When I found out I was pregnant with my youngest son, I was only a week along. I had vomiting and I was totally exhausted and that’s why I went to the doctor. The urine test came back inconclusive so they took my blood. Sure enough…according to hcg levels, just one week pregnant. The nurse even told me not to get my hopes up because the pregnancy was so new, anything could happen.

No. It’s the progesterone rising.

With my first born I knew from the moment of conception. Two weeks later I took the first test and was positive. Went to my doctor shortly afterwards, they did a test, and I was pregnant. My doctor was shocked that I knew before I had even missed my period.

Yes. I started nausea and vomiting 3days after my wedding, one week along I was confirmed pregnant at the hospital. Got married 1day to my ovulation

No, you just had sex. It takes more than 2 days for the sperm to reach the egg. You don’t start feeling morning sickness until and 4 weeks into your pregnancy.

No its your brain wanting to be pregnant so bad that its making you experience pregnancy symptoms you can even have false pregnancies

Everyone is different! Maybe you want to be. There is a thing called pseudocyesis. You can literally trick yourself into thinking your pregnant.
That’s why they say manifesting is so powerful.

Hormones need to build up. That’s why you have to wait until your missed cycle.

This is what happens when you don’t teach sex Ed in school

Funny what the brain can make the body do

If you want it bad enough your mind will start tricking your body to think you are. Only way to actually know is wait till you can take a test after missing your period.

I don’t believe so. I will say however if you are trying to get pregnant then just track everything & wait for a missed period, honestly I had full blown periods prior to positive pregnancy tests with both my kids so everyone is different when it comes to that, each time was planned so there for I still tested to make sure cause I was hoping for positives, both times I found out at 4 weeks exactly that I was expecting, around 4 weeks is when I started to notice off and feel different, just keep in tune with everything, track and calculate and honestly don’t stress cause stress will make it more difficult to convince, just go with the flow and not focus on it as much and soon you’ll be getting positives, if that’s what your going for anyways. Best of luck to you!:yellow_heart:

I knew I was pregnant 2x before the test would even register. The only one I didn’t “suspect” was the middle child. (I was told I could no longer have kids years prior). I couldn’t figure out what was Wong with me :joy:

I knew the day after I had sex. Your body knows. Especially when you know your body.

My partner and I had sex 4 days before my period was due “judging from my period tracker” to which I got pregnant - my period was 13 days late, and I started eating tomato’s about 5-6days into the “13days” and I couldn’t stomach prawn gowgees

Side note: i love prawn gowgees, to the point where I eat them once a week “gave birth two weeks ago, didn’t eat while pregnant” and I have hated tomato’s since I was a toddler and never ate them/always picked them out of my food.:tomato:

I didn’t feel symptoms but I told my then husband I KNOW I’m pregnant the night after. Two weeks later the blood test confirmed. Dreamed I was having a boy, never even thought of any girl names, that was true. Dreamed I delivered early, he was born at 26 weeks.

This group really needs to be thinned out. So many women just blatantly putting down or making fun of other women.

For those with the “insights” or just plain insults, practice what I hope your Mama taught you… If you dont have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all.

Maybe some of these women are really trying, looking for real advice, have shame that they can’t go to someone they love, or want an outside opinion.

Idk who the admins are, but take a hard look at who is laughing or degrading someone.

Also, my hubs and I conceived on either May 25th or May 31st. Went to a beach trip with my in laws a week later and she kept telling me I was pregnant. Even my cat started to knead my abdomen. June 13th took a pregnancy test. June 14th did a blood test. 2 weeks pregnant. Laugh at that. When you know, you know. Hell, my MIL and my damn cat knew before me!

I got a positive test 3 days after with my oldest. Everybody’s body is different and so is every pregnancy

I knew 2 days post ovulation i was pregnant with implantation cramps. 4 days post ovulation i had a super faint positive.

I never had regular periods, I would go months without them but KNEW it in my soul, all of a sudden I was grossed out and throwing up all the time. I went to the dr to test & they said I wasn’t. But me being stubborn, I went back a week later and they confirmed 4 weeks and 4 days

When I was pregnant with my first baby the symptoms I had few days were feeling very flushed and tired and with my pregnancy second first symptoms I had was feeling different in myself few days after then I started having hot flushes feeling sick tired headaches I knew from a week after I was pregnant

I had vivid dreams the night conception happened…with all 4 pregs. I woke up, told my husband I was pregnant, took the test and it was negative… waited a WK and boom positive…if you’re intuned enough to your body, you will know everything that goes on. I even knew I was having a miscarriage with baby #3 before it even happened. It was the most horrific dream I ever had and it replays every now and then. I’ll never forget any of my pregnancy dreams

You’re on the internet so like every comment is going to be people who have experienced instant symptoms. Lol. It’s not really common but yes, some women do feel symptoms right away.

Girl… you don’t even know if you are pregnant yet or not so take a seat and chill out…

Wait until you missed your next period and get tested. It could be caused by other things, stress, daily routine, something you ate/drink, hormones may be the culprits. When you’re ovulating, some weird things happen to your body.

I found out I was pregnant on Mother’s Day of 2015, but suspected it 2weeks prior to that day then the next week went to the doctor and I was 5 weeks with my second child but my first I took test after test for weeks all negative then I woke up with my boobs hurting held my morning pee in til I went to the store and came home took it found out then a week later I went to the doctor and I was 10 weeks pregnant. With my 3rd baby I missed my period took test it was positive I was 5 weeks after going to the doctor 3 days later. I’ve had more pregnancy’s but it upsets me talking about my angel baby’s so this is all you’ll get from me.

Implantation takes 6-12 days to occur after ovulation so your body wont know its pregnant until implantation occurs and once this occurs this is when your hcg levels (pregnancy hormone) begins to rise.

So if ur on day 2 post ovulation you fertilized egg wouldnt have become an embryo and attached itself to your womb for atleast another 4 - 10 days.

You may have a gut feeling or just nerves but scientifically your body cant respond to something that hasnt happened yet. Egg and sperm can be fertilized outside the womb but if the embryo never attaches to the womb then pregnancy doesnt occur and only occurs once implication has happened.

Yep. I conceived my son on a Tuesday, my period was due on the Saturday. I had morning after pill Wednesday. By Friday I had symptoms. I was also breastfeeding my daughter. I went to GP on Monday and told him I was pregnant. We did 3 tests before I got the positive.

He’s now a 25 year old, 6ft 2 security guard/wrestler :joy:

Could you have a stomach bug?

My boobs started to hurt I took one of the early 2week pregnancy test then went to a woman’s free clinic they said I was negative up until 2 months then my youngest showed I knew at 2 weeks I was pregnant

I knew early, gut feeling and then a week later I couldn’t stand the smell of tea x

Wow some of y’all really have no idea how the process of ovulation implantation and then pregnancy actually works!!! Ladies google has a ton of actual scientific proven info on this topic it is not a mystery…do ur research before asking or answering for that matter such a crazy question. Btw its physically impossible!!!

People will tell you no. Scientifically speaking it’s not possible since you’re not technically pregnant at conception. It’s just a fertilized egg, not implanted. I believe your mind can know & play tricks on you. I felt incredibly sick right away with all mine. I excused it off as other things. But I couldn’t stop thinking about babies, had dreams about being pregnant, having a baby etc.

Honestly…if you want to be pregnant, then your mind can make you have symptoms. Had that happen before, then got period. Next month, was sick and tired all month and told my brain to cut it out. Missed next period and was a week late,so gave in and took a test and was pregnant. Lol. Just wait until miss cycle then take a test. For now, relax and live normally until get a yes or no answer.
