Can you get a tube reversal?

I had my tubes tied after my second child, 7 and half year ago. I am remarried and we want one to finish the brady bunch. Have any of you had reversal surgery and was it successful?

If they only tied them,I’m sure they could untie them

A friend of mine did and her husband had a reverse vasectomy and they are expecting their baby in November

I had mine done about the same as you. I went in to get a consult and was told the longer you have them tied, the less likely they’ll be good enough to have a baby. Depends on how I damaged your tubes are and it’s not a guarantee even after you get them untied. I was quoted between 8-12000 depending where I go in Texas. Invetro might bring more success and it’s around the same. One of my friends has done that when she had her tubes tied. She had twins. Good luck!

I had mine done 10 years ago. It might be cheaper to do ivf than a reversal
. As the reversal don’t always works

Depends on the type of tubal you had. I got mine reversed. Had a successful pregnancy.

IVF is cheaper and a lot easier.
Not to mention most insurance covers it.
But there is a doctor in Kentucky that does it for 8k and includes post op hotel for 2-3 nights where he visits and meds. I have a best friend that did hers with him and she has had 2 successful and 4 miscarriage

Getting mine tied & my doctor told me that it isn’t really irreversible. Guess it depends on what type of tubal you got.

I had a tubal ligation (cauterized) then a tubal reversal (by Dr Berger in N Carolina) the reversal was successful (dye passed through) and we got pregnant right away, however there was scar tissue at the reversal site which resulted in a tubal pregnancy and emergency surgery to remove it from the tube. We got pregnant again but it also resulted in a tubal pregnancy(same tube) which led to emergency surgery and removal of the tube. Tests confirmed the other tube was eventually blocked due to scar tissue. We opted for IVF, pregnant right away but resulted in a miscarriage :pensive: one last attempt at IVF we transferred 5 embryo. 2 of the 5 took (twins) but, one of them stopped growing at 8 weeks and my body reabsorbed it. We now have 1 beautiful 13 year old girl. It is definitely an emotional roller coaster and expensive but well worth every penny

I’m sure you’ve thought about it, but if the reversal ends up not being feasible, please consider adopting. So many children are in need of a loving home, and you are in need of a another child to love.
