I’m wanting to ask question about nexplanon??? I got on this birthcontrol in September of 2021 and I got back in September of this year… well around the end of the month of March I started my period first time since of being on it, it was dark blood and bled for 7 days while today I felt wet down there and I wiped then it was me ovulating thinking that was weird since I haven’t done thar since last year… but tonight not thinking me and my fiance had sex and came inside me… I’m so scared bc I have 6 kids and I couldn’t get my tubes tied bc of medical insurance no doctors would take it and my last pregnancy was high risk bc of my placenta was to low and I’ve had 6 csections… should I be worried and take a test in 3 to 4 weeks or is that normal?? I know the bleeding can be normal but the ovulating part has me thinking… and also this is my first time having nexplanon I’ve always got depo after my pregnancies… sorry for having a long story I’m just scared bc it’s a bad health risk to me and baby if I do get pregnant
No contraception is 100% unfortunately. Best guess is to wait and see. But just because you had some wetness/discharge doesn’t necessarily mean that you are ovulating. Discharge can happen all through your cycle or when on contraception. I’d try not to stress too much over it though.
You can get pregnant on any birth control honestly. But the fluctuation of periods is normal when you first start bc again.
I’ve used Nexplanon for 7 years. I’ve had regular periods this entire time. I have not ended up pregnant.
Nexplanon works well but it made me gain 50 lbs so I had it removed.
Nexplanon and Depo are the same medication administered differently. Nexplanon suppresses ovulation so you don’t ovulate. However, I got pregnant on both Depo and Nexplanon.
You can fall pregnant under ANY birth control.
If you aren’t make sure to use a condom anyway if you aren’t sure of birth controls I got the implant and I never worried about anything but talk to your doctor asap just in case
Anything can happen even on birth control… if you are that worried about it how about not having sex or use extra protection like condoms
You should probably have used further protection then. To be safe. And I still would. If you don’t want any more. There’s always a chance. I’ve had my tubes tied for 12 years. There’s still a chance of getting pregnant.
Even if you take birth control, or have one implanted, or wear condoms, there’s still a chance of you getting pregnant.
Call your doctor and ask. No sense in taking chances. All I know is one of my kids was a pill baby. The other was an IUD baby. (That’s how old I am.) Nothing is foolproof. Find out from a doctor.
First let me say you can get pregnant even with your tubes tied. Nothing is 100% except a hysterectomy. Second, just because you have cervical mucus or discharge doesn’t mean your ovulating. Get an ovulation test see if that says anything. But as women we always have some sort of discharge ovulating or not. We are self cleaning and that’s just how it is.
Yes you can my daughter has a new baby sister this way I’ve actually known a couple people get pregnant with this Abstinence is the only way you cannot get pregnant! Or a hysterectomy of course but unless need calls for it you can’t have one.
You should be fine. The irregular periods are normal. And even if you think you are ovulating just keep in mind that we produce a little extra cervical fluid during ovulations. Normally ovulation cervical mucus is much more noticeable than most other fluids we tend to “leak”, but just because you have that doesn’t mean semen can get to places it shouldn’t be and Nexplanon is “supposed” to keep your from releasing any eggs. So you should be okay. In most cases birth control is pretty effective. Hope that helps ease your mind
It could be as simple as an infection I had implanon and nexplanon and never had an issue but every body’s different
I had so many scares with implanon/nexplanon.
No birth control is 100%. I fell pregnant on the implant and I now have a 3 year old🤣
There is ALWAYS a chance of pregnancy if you’ve had sex. The only way to 100% prevent it is not having sex.
My sister in law got pregnant while having the nexplanon
I have had both nexplanon and implanon (currently in my arm) and I have not gotten pregnant.
I’d save up or shop around for someone who takes you insurance and get a Tubulization… use condoms till then or abstain from intercourse till you’ve worked out a solution. Good luck darling.
If it’s not to late take the plan B pill
You can always track your cycle on top of the birth control to avoid your usual ovulation time! You can get a pack of 200 ovulation strips on Amazon for less than $20
You can get pregnant even if you are on birth control, using condoms, + pulling out. Even if your tubes are tied or there’s a vasectomy involved - pregnancy is still possible. I would wait at least two weeks before you use a pregnancy test to be sure. You could call your doctor if you are worried or wait the two weeks and test. I know you mentioned you ovulated but you might not have ovulated. You can still have the signs of ovulation but not ovulate, if that makes sense? The only true way to know if you ovulated is with the help of a doctor as ovulation tests don’t tell you if you actually ovulated.
Try not to take some of the other comments to heart. Shit happens, sometimes people don’t pull out because of the heat of the moment, etc. I’ll be sending you all of the non-pregnancy vibes
There’s no such thing as birth control that’s 100% effective unless you get tied or a hysterectomy, so yes, it’s possible you are pregnant.
i got pregnant on nexplanon
Go get the morning after pill it’s good for 72 hours after sex
You can, but it can mess with your period as well because it has hormones in it. I got nexplanon in the hospital ICU after I lost my son at 21w 4d. My period hasn’t been the same since. Some months I don’t have a period. Some months I just get cramps. This month is thr first month since the pp bleeding that I’m actually bleeding. So as much as I’d like to track my period. I can’t. But I haven’t gotten pregnant.
My son was a depo baby I didn’t find out about till six months along.
No birth control is 100 percent.
You can get pregnant with any bc. Stop having sex with intact men., especially with your risk factors.
Normalize vasectomy.
Yess. 100%. I had mine in for 6 months, got very moody and irritable and asked to have it removed. Has the appt 2 months later and found out I was 12 weeks pregnant.
Nexplanon can give you irregular periods. The first time I had it my cycle was anywhere between 12 to 50 days. It freaked me out at first, because I had never been irregular before. But it worked. This second time around, I haven’t had a period since October, but I’m also nursing so that’s part of it. However, it is possible and it wouldn’t hurt to take a test just in case, but chances are you’re fine.
There are thousands if not more who have gotten pregnant on literally every type of birth control. It’s not likely but it does happen. I would take plan B if you’re that concerned
You need to see a doctor!!! Go to county Health Dept they can help on sliding scale but you really need a plan with a professional doctor
My period is everything but normal on it. I’ve taken a few tests just out of worry and I’ve never been this is my 3 one.
Doubtful. I know multiple people that miscarried right after it being removed. I’ve had it 3 times, mc twice. This time I haven’t had period in a year so since being on it.
I spotted randomly with nexplanon. If your anxious take a test.
My cousin had the same issue with e her 3rd pregnancy. Her 4th pregnancy was 100% normal and easy. Just because one pregnancy is complicated, doesn’t mean another one will be.
I got pregnant on it had it removed and found out 3 weeks later I miscarried.
Nexplanon is brutal on the body but from my experience it is an effective form of birth control. I wouldn’t worry.
You can always take Plan B. Like, now. You only have a few days.
That said, you can always get pregnant, at any time. Everybody is different.
If you want your tubes tied, go to the health dept and speak with their OBGYN. It’s a pay scale based on income and they’ll probably take your insurance.
I Get Paid over $ 140 per hour working from home. I never thought l’d be able to do it but my mate makes over $ 20894 a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The possibility with this is limitless.
I’m on Nexplanon for heavy periods due to having my tubes tied Nexplanon gives irregular periods. My doctor told me this when I got it. I’ve only had one extremely light period while on it. No birth control is 100% and that includes having tubes tied.
My nexplanon messed up my period majorly!!!I had my period on it for 90 days on it! But before the 90 days I didn’t have one for like 5 months ish
Take a plan b just to be cautious
If you’ve have sex, you can get pregnant.
Nexplanon is awful. Worst mistake I ever made.
I didn’t get preg.
I got mental issues from it.
I was normal till I got it. Thankfully I don’t have it. But I’m on Prozac now bc of it.
Take a plan b if your that afraid. & definitely stop unprotected sex if you don’t want to get pregnant
Ive been on nexplanon since 2019 and I didn’t get my period for 2 years. I recently started getting it a few months ago. I even got it twice in one month the first time I started my period. I called my dr and asked if I should be concerned and they told me if I was concerned I can come in to get a pregnancy test. I went and the results were negative. Everyone is different, but also, no birth control is 100% effective.
I had mine removed had it before with no issues after first 2 kids but the 3rd time it was giving me frequent cycles as in I had 4 full week long cycles in just under 2 month time frame with only a few days and then almost a week between each one so I had them take it back out after 1 yr of being on it with these crazy extra cycles
I never heard of any woman not being able to have a tubal because of her medical insurance,!!! Go to a hospital that has a clinic or a clinical associated with them & get it done thru them, Clinics do take medical insurance, but they also only charge based on income & family size
My friend did twice. If you think you are call a doctor right away
You can get pregnant on any birth control. If you’re that scared why let him do that? Use a condom for double protection.
You can get pregnant on anything
No birth control is 100% effective. Use a condom if you’re that scared.
Mine always messes with my cycles
I once bleed a whole month and 2 cycles in one month
But Iv never had issues up until recently I got a replacement and I feel like she put it to deep in my arm so I’m planing on getting it removed and I have bad mood swings and the first time taking it out it took me a year to have a baby
I also had very heavy cycles when I didn’t use birthcontrol and now they are someone what lighter
Nexplnon works differently with anyone though my sister tryed it and it only caused them problems
No birth control is 100%. I’d go to a different doctor and get a 2nd opinion. With you being high risk and having 6 kids there is no reason an insurance shouldn’t cover you.
There’s always a chance of getting pregnant. Have you been on antibiotics recently? Those play a role in lower the protection of it. Also I don’t like either of those bc, I’ve always heard terrible stories of women getting surgery to find and remove the nexplanon and then the depo shot makes you gain weight like crazy
Here’s my nexplanon baby she just turned 4 Thursday… it also stopped all my periods completely
Morning after pill???

You can get pregnant on anything except not having sex. If you’re unsure take a test and don’t stress until then.

You can get pregnant absolutely any time you have sex unless you’re missing the uterus or ovaries in general.
On birth control, with condoms, withdrawal, tubes tied, vasectomy, tubes removed, etc.
If sperm and egg are in the body, there’s a possibility lol.
Yes you can because it happened to me! My oldest son was born in 2016 I had the nexplanon for about 8 months before I got pregnant with him. And with my youngest I got pregnant while having IUD. Some women birth control just doesn’t work.
