Can I pump through out my pregnancy? Will it cause me to go into labor? I breastfed the first half of my pregnancy but started to wean my toddler…can I pump to dump in a cup for her? The whole pregnancy?

They prefer you don’t pump during pregnancy till later trimesters because it can induce labor. Definitely talk to your OB about it first. I wanted to pump early in my pregnancy to get my breasts used to it cuz I figured it may help me breastfeed longer and more efficiently but was told not too because stimulation makes you go into labor faster and that’s basically what pumping can act like is a stimulant that’s why they send you your free pump in the later months of pregnancy not earlier on
