I got my birth control removed because I didn’t like it, and I don’t want to get on another one. When I got pregnant with my child 5 years ago, I had periods every 2-4 months. Irregular, but still cycling.
I got on birth control after that and my period became almost nonexistent. Since getting off birth control, I haven’t had a period in a year.
Now, I’m overweight and have some health issues that affect fertility. My question is can I get pregnant without having an active period? Does not having a period mean you’re not ovulating at all? Have any mamas gotten pregnant with no period?
Keep in mind that I’m not asking this question because I am trying to conceive. I’m wondering if birth control is even necessary if I’m not ovulating.
