Cheapest place to live in missouri?

For the ones who live in Missouri; where’s the best somewhat cheap living? Needing a 4 bedroom & can’t find any near us. (We do travel to STL at least every 3 months. We currently drive 4 hours one way.)

Rolla, Waynesville, St Robert.

I live in Ewing about 3 hours from st louis. Small country town and quiet. But hard to find anything for rent. Luckily we own our home. Hannibal is okay. Palmyra.

Como is cheaper than STL. outlining towns are pretty reasonable.
