So I’m not really sure who to ask so I figured maybe if I asked here then someone else may have dealt with it and may know what I can/should do. So last month I got the child tax credit by direct deposit into the same account my taxes and prior stimulus checks have gone into. Well this month they sent it by check. And since I’m married and filed jointly with my husband the check is in both of our names. My issue is that he is currently in state prison and could possibly be there for awhile what should I do? Has anyone else dealt with this issue and found a way around it? I dont have a bank account neither does he I use chime and he prefers cash. So I’m clueless on what to do! Any advice and suggestions would be great thank you!
