My son does not like cows milk but his doctor told us to start weening him off formula…is there an alternative we can try?
Didn’t state age. But give it some time. It’s new to him and like introducing a new food may take a few times for him to adapt to taste
Have you tried putting in a little milk in at time with his formula? We added a little more milk each day and a little less formula until it was all milk.
Goat milk is the safest and best
There is a variety of different milks that you can try, all in the dairy section at the grocery store.
However, there is a good chance that you’re going to get the same reaction from him regardless of the type of milk you choose - that’s because it’s something completely new.
With my kids, we eased the transition from formula to whole milk by doing their cups 75% formula and 25% milk for about a week. The next week, we went 50% formula and 50% milk. The next week, we did 25% formula and 75% milk. The next week, it was 100% milk and no issues.
Try it warm! They are used to having formula be room temp or warm so it’s definitely a change for them when something is ice cold
