Long story short: RUN AWAY from Catholic hospitals!!! The issue is going to be if the doctors want to do a ligation at your age, they do not honor the “my body, my choices” I tried to do this because my pregnancies were high risk and they denied it every time. Also, if you want to do it, please don’t go to a Catholic hospital, they are the worse at this as they are against birth control, they are not going to honor your wishes even if you are high risk! I had an ectopic pregnancy and a Catholic hospital refused to do anything because they considered an abortion, my pregnancy ended in miscarriage and thankfully I don’t had complications but in my last C-section they removed the tubes due to all the scaring from the ectopic.
I didn’t have any issues at 1st when they did my tubal after my 2nd c-section. 6 months later however, I realized the tubal was a HUGE mistake. I started bleeding up to 3 weeks a month and then I ended up developing endometriosis. It made EVERYTHING worse. I was extremely sick when I had my periods and I lost so much blood I became anemic for the 1st time in my life.
Do your research because MANY woman experience the same after a tubal.

Less than 2 years later I was going in for a hysterectomy because of what the tubal did to me.
Im almost 29 and have 2 kids. I had to have a csection with my second because she was breech. I decided to get my tubes removed during the surgery. My periods are more regular now. But they are more painful somehow🤷

I had it done during my 4th c-section, it was really so quick, I asked them if they had made sure to cut everything they were supposed to cuz I didn’t ever want to be back! 
I had my third by c-section just 9 months ago and had a tubal. I haven’t had a problems. I am having heavier periods then before but nothing major. It was no different then recovering from a normal c-section. I had my tubes completely removed.
When I had my son the Dr.done my tubal after he delivered my son by c-section. But that was 40 yrs ago.back then they didn’t do the bikini cut for a c-section my scar is up and down.
In my experience, the surgery its self was a little longer but the pain afterwards I was not prepared for. My first c-section was easy however after having my tubes tied it felt like someone drove a semi into my stomach. But like any pain there’s painkillers took me an Xtra day to get moving
I had mine done along with the c-section but what the surgeon did ( told me about it first) was REMOVE both tubes completely leaving in the ovaries for hormonal reasons. He made sure I knew that it could NOT be reversed. I had zero complications and as to length of surgery time I have no idea. I had never had a section , first son was a natural, vaginal delivery with no meds. Section was an “emergency” 36 years ago and general anesthesia.

I had a tubal after my 7th delivery but 1st c-section. I dont know how regular c-sections but my recovery after the c-sections plus tubal was excruciating! 4 weeks of flat on my back. Pain anytime I needed to use my core muscules. If I have that recovery as my first I would not have had 7 kids. I had natural vaginal birth with 6 9 pound babies and would take that over a c-section any day. But I dont know if the tubal had anything to do with the recovery cause that’s my one and only experience. But I can’t get pregnant again so a few weeks of pain that ended in carefree sex and no more nursing I’d still do it again.

Had it done with my last one 26 yrs ago. No issues, didn’t take long at all and no complications. Better to get it done if your are planning on it while they are doing the c section instead of another surgery. Recovery the same amount of time as just having c section.

I had it done after my 3rd c section. It didnt feel any different. My daughter was born at 1 pm and I was sleeping on my stomach at 9 pm lol no issues same healing as others.
I did. Last child, surprise c section. Totally easy. No issues and really did not take long at all.
I had it done when they did my c section. Since they already had me open only made sense. Had no problems after it was done.
Don’t do it. I’m 35, had litigation at 25 after 2nd child and have been wanting more for 8 years now. It’s 10k to reverse this surgery and still poses risks to healthy pregnancy after. If I could take back one thing I’ve done in my life that would be it. I would love to be able to have more children-especially since the divorce 3 years ago.
