Do membrane sweeps work?

Has anyone had their membranes stripped at 38 weeks? Was it successful?

I had mine swept every week from 38-41 weeks. Didnt work any of the times. I was induced at 41.1 day

Yep at 38 weeks didn’t do anything induced at 39
