Do you brush your babies teeth?

Sooo what are we doing with our infants with teeth? 10 month old has his front 4 (2 top, 2 bottom) and I see more coming. What are my next steps??? Do we get him a toothbrush and toothpaste? He’s our first & we do BLW so he eats full mealtimes with us so I’m assuming he needs cleaned

Yes. You can also start with brushing gums before they geet teeth. Establishes the brushing for the future and obviously wipes up their gums. Doesn’t have to have a paste and doesn’t have to have teeth yet. It can also be soothing when teething. You can start with just your CLEAN finger and a clean cloth or special cleaning device. There are many styles. And upgrade the “brush” as needed.

Yes you brush them for them. Then let them try. Get a kids approved toothpaste .They should also have their first dentist visit at one.

Use an infant toothbrush with a little of non-fluoride 2 times a day.

It is recommended that you should start cleaning your baby’s gums as soon as they are born and start brushing their teeth as soon as they get their first tooth… First dentist appointment before or around a year old.

We use a finger brush. My boy is 9 months with 8 teeth. No paste yet, it’s not needed and they shouldn’t be swallowing it. A finger brush or rag works just fine

Yes brush their teeth and gums in fluoride free toothpaste. Set up a dental appointment soon since he has some teeth already. I posted an example of what you can buy for his little teeth at a store or online.

Do you brush your teeth? Im assuming yes. So why wouldn’t you brush your child’s teeth? It’s basic common sense. We are truly doomed as a society.

Yes you can get a toothbrush for a baby and toothpaste a small amount of toothpaste on brush and give them a clean

Yes u want to brush them (u can just use a brush and water) then get ahold of a pediatric dentist on when they want to see him.

My son started going to a pediatric dentist since he was 15 months old.

This is a good setup to start out with, but even a good water scrub until the first year. Anything is better than nothing!

Our babies are the same age. I just Dr. Brown’s training toothbrush and paste. It’ll say “0-3 years at the top” :slightly_smiling_face:

I see a few rude comments , I recognize that you’re a first time mom and don’t understand. As soon as your baby gets teeth, it’s time to brush  and the younger you get them started the better, a good non fluoride tooth and a good soft bristled tooth brush!

Yes, you should have been brushing them since first one came in.
