Do you let your pets on the couch? My friend came over and freaked out and left because we let our dogs on the couch… is this not normal?

Yes, dogs(and other pets) are allowed on my furniture and in my bed. Pets are family.
Yes, pets are welcome on the couch.
Guests are not welcome or invited into the house or on the furniture

I mean, I let my husband on the couch, so why not the dog😂 joking aside, if someone doesn’t like the fact I let my dogs on the couch, I always tell them, ‘Your just a guest here, this is their home, you don’t like it, leave’ my dogs sleep in mine and my kids beds, too

If your company has an issue with your dog on your furniture then they shouldn’t be invited back.

Ur house ur rules… she don’t like it she can leave…
Tell her if she doesn’t like it then don’t come round.
If somebody moaned about my cats they’d be shown the door.
We have steps in front of our couch to make it easier for the dogs to get up.

My dog is allowed on whatever she wants to be on, she’s part of the family and it’s her house too
When invited yes, or when no one is using it. As long as they get down when told to without any growling it’s fine.
I’d rather my dog n cat on my couch than ppl who judge my choices in my home

My dogs spend most of their day on the couch, we just sit where they have left us space lol same with our bed.

That’s a dramatic reaction lol I let my dogs wherever I go in my house. Some don’t and that’s fine but I do and it’s their house before any guest so if you don’t like it you can leave. 
Yes. This is their home too. Yes I have to vacuum & wipe it down once a week but idc.
Absolutely, I don’t want to cuddle them on the floor
I did with my first dog. But I don’t with the ones I currently have. They shed a lot and my husband is allergic as it is so…
