Do your kids shower daily?

My kids (4 and 5) take a bath every couple days. It isn’t good for their skin or hair to wash everyday. My kids also have dry skin and eczema though

Showering daily isnt recomended daily for anyone…so every 3 to 4 days…twice a week should be good. Unless they get oddly dirty or sweaty ! They say this due to it getting rid or our natural oils and it dries out skin/hair. Actually makes it greasier quicker !

I used to make my kids wash up after school. Then a good shower or bath before bed as part of bedtime routine. I believe washing up after school in winter help cut down on sickness

Wash hair every 2-3 days sometimes more because I live in a humid climate, going too long without washing hair causes build up on the scalp. I bathe them everyday unless I’m sure tired.

In the summer the kids shower every night, they sweat a lot. Summer it’s every other night

we do every other day unless he has PE then he showers that day even if he showered the day before.

I bath the little 3 before school amd older 2 have shower each evening. I also bath little 2 year old in the evening she has 2 a day and still looks like she been dragged through a head backwards i just do it for routine and so she feels fresh ready for the day and bed

She’s 6 in a few days and she showers just about every day since she showers mainly by herself now

I bath them everyday day sometimes twice if they play outside

Children should bathe everyday . They run, play and sweat heavy at that age ND their hair will smell. Made my children shower shampoo ND use deodorant everyday . All up to their Mama

My daughter is 6 and my son is 3 they bath every night . But hair was once a week !

My kids played hard.liked to be outside getting dirty so showers everyday.id let their hair go a day or two.brushing was a chore as they all had a head of curls.usually leave in conditioner and tight braids so u didn’t have to torture them as often with the hair.

My daughter 10 & 9 (just turned 9) shower every other day. Unless they come home stinky or we did something (like going to the river) where they need a shower again the next day.

Our pediatrician flat out told us NOT to bathe them daily unless they were visibly dirty
It’s too much on kids sensitive skin. We brush teeth wash hands and face and if needed more than every other day (lots of outside play or we are sick) we will up the bath game.

My daughter is 10. She showers every 2-3 days or as needed and washes her hair each time she showers. She goes to school and home.

My son though, when he was that age, showered daily, but that was because he was active in sports.

Depends on how dirty they get. Every other or every 3rd day unless they’re just super gross. My boys spend alot of time playing outside and get filthy so they have to shower frequently. I don’t make them wash their hair every time though.

During the school week,everyday.
Skip Saturday.
When school is out for summer,Christmas break every other day .

Hair is washed with every shower

Every other day
Hair I give good wash and condition once a week otherwise dries out

I was told by my daughter pediatrician every 2-3 days. We typically do that but wash hair once a week, her hair doesn’t really get oily and is very thick so over washing causes tangled and dry hair. Only exception is if she gets visibly dirty. She’s about to be 8.

I can’t help but make my kids shower daily cause of school germs but if they aren’t doing anything there is no reason. Plus your not supposed to wash your hair everyday

I wash my hair 2xs a week max, and last time I got it cut the lady couldn’t stop playing with it and saying how healthy and soft it is, so yeah. No need to wash your hair every other day even.

Showering daily is bad for skin and hair. We do every other or sometimes 2 days between

Mine all grew up bathing/showering every day from newborn to teenage… I shower everyday. Don’t know how people don’t wash daily. Grosses me out

Ur hair dries out so bad because u wash it every other day. Try once a week to bring back the natural oils that will help protect your hair…your children’s hair also…and every other day for bathing is fine as long as they aren’t exceptionally dirty…obviously more often if they like to get really dirty. Also a good rule of thumb, once puberty hits, daily is best.

Everyone should bathe every day! Hair maybe every other day

everyday mine get so dirty :sob::sob::joy:

Everyday. Between them playing outside and getting dirty to being at school (germ central) they get a shower everyday! My SD we wash her hair with shampoo and conditioner every other day and just conditioner (because it’s so long and thick it gets knotty) on the opposite days.
If we just had a lazy day inside because of rain or whatever we might skip the shower for that day.

Daily. Don’t like the idea of getting into bed dirty!

Every other day unless daily activities seem it necessary. A washcloth wash up is fine for the in-between freshen up.

My 8 year old loves showers so much but washes her hair every other day my 10 year old showers ma washes hair every other day n the 17 year old showers i wanna say at least every other day I shower daily cuz of work but wash hair every two days

Every other day unless we have some kind of sports, gymnastics, swimming etc…

By the age of 7 to 8. Body oder starts. So shower/ bath everyday
Nobody likes a smelly play mate. Good habits start early. Some kids when they hit teen seem to forget to shower.

I’m here for ppl doing what they please with their kids!! HOWEVER, I cannot fathom my kids 5/6/15 (all boys) pooping and peeing an having even a drip run off their private and you wouldn’t want to wash up in those butt cracks! Let alone two of them have gym every single day them butt cracks get funky and sweaty! I couldnt imagine not washing my boys up daily! Now they get days where I allow them to play in the water but most days washed up an get out. I don’t wash their hair daily but it definitely gets rinsed

My son Showers every day since that age (he’s 10 now) because he stinks and his hair gets greasy if not . I’m not the kind of mom who “doesn’t care what other people think”
That’s the attitude that creates smelly pajama pants in Walmart type people.

Ahh, just wait until their old, then they won’t wash wash at all!!

I shower every other day and I’m an adult. I think it depends on how much they stink. I certainly would try and leave hair to every two or three days unless it’s very short.

Kids need a shower or bath every day in my opinion. They come home from school smelling like onions :mask:.

My son included we shower twice a day. Climbing into bed with the days germs is disgusting. Not showering the night sweat off in the morning is disgusting. Not showering you’re kids is really lazy.

Every other day unless they have naturally oily hair.

Everyday cuz everything they do is dirty :sob::sob::sob:

Yes every day who child is nasty that dont

Every day is not good for the skin.

Mine are 4,7,8 they shower/bath every other day and wash their hair every other bath/shower and my 1 year old has a bath everyday to Signal bedtime and shes also in the snot and drool gross stage lmao she should be bathed like eight times a day right now lmao

It’s bad for your hair to wash it too often, I wouldn’t have them do it more than once every 3 days so their scalp stays used to what’s healthiest. Showering daily in general isn’t very good for your skin either unless you’re actually dirty, again I’d say once every 3 days is fine unless y’all are outside being active, getting dirty, etc.

Kids become smelly and need to bathe everyday. I have 6 kids. They all bathed everyday once they hit around 5. Sports and outside play. Germs at school. Kids are gross

So many germs and sickness showering everyday should be a no brainer

Definitely by 8 kids should shower everyday. I would not recommend washing their hair everyday. No one should, it is bad for your hair.
