Does anyone door dash to make a little side cash?

Does anyone doordash for side cash? I work full time 7-4 every day and I work at the daycare my kids attend so I don’t get paid much. But not paying for daycare makes up for it! I have an hour lunch break each day! Thinking of using my lunch hour to make some extra Christmas money. Downloaded the app but is it worth it? To me even $15 an hour each day is worth it

I don’t make $15 an hour it goes by the trips you make. Today I dashed for 3 hours and only had 2 orders and made $8. Not worth the gas or time

I’d just be afraid something would go wrong and you couldn’t get back to work in time, but I’m such a clock person.

you’ll have to pay taxes on all that you make, so consider you’ll be setting aside a percentage per pay for that. You’ll have wear and tear on your car and go through a buttload of gas, so consider that. You’ll be able to deduct miles, but it’s prob gonna break ya just over even.
