Does anyone make sandwiches ahead and freeze them?

Does anyone make sandwiches ahead of time and freeze them? Like I know you can do DIY uncrustabkes with pb&j but I’m asking more about ham and cheese, turkey, etc. I am about to have baby number 3 in January, and I have a 2 and 5 yr old. We are planning lots of camping trips for the upcoming year so just trying to find any way to make life easier. One of our trips is 8 days long. We have a camper, so we have a fridge/freezer. If you have made freezer sandwiches, any tips/tricks? Is it worth doing?

I’ve done breakfast sandwiches before, just wrap them up in wax paper and put them in a ziplock freezer bag, they are normally good for around a month.(probably longer we just have always gone through them)

It would be like eating wer bread

You would want to cook the lunch meat before freezing. I use a larger cup like my reusable harkins to stamp the sandwich’s. I individually freeze in a sandwich size bag and put the sandwich bags in a gallon size in the freezer.

Make them when u need them

My grandma would freeze bread. I don’t recommend freezing uncooked lunchmeat sandwiches as the bread will absorb the moisture of meat and turn soggy when it thaws out. Freeze it all separately. I wouldn’t freeze sliced cheeses though. No one likes a soggy sandwich. Especially kids. You’ll have alot of waste.
