So. Trying to understand why my daughters friend is allowed to play Roblox and Minecraft, but not fortnight. Any insights? I’m just wondering if I need to reevaluate what I allow my kids to play. They play Minecraft and fortnight (not the battle part but the mini games and puzzles) occasionally, but not allowed to play Roblox.
My son is 7. He is allowed to play Minecraft and Roblox but not fortnite. I monitor Roblox and Minecraft so that he doesn’t get into anything too old for him. My daughter is 6 years older than my son and has been allowed to play fortnite somewhat recently. It’s not really appropriate for my youngest but if it’s still popular in a few years then maybe he’ll play it.
My kids can play minecraft and fortnight. And not chat with anyone. They are not allowed to play roblox
i don’t try to make sense of other people’s rules in their homes .
people don’t understand why i bought my kids cell phones when they started kindergarten. it’s my house & they’re my kids. my rules apply.
We allow Minecraft without playing with other people. Then Fortnite without a microphone and volume off. No roblox. Our primary fear is the grooming and inappropriate things adults can do with children.
We are a gamer house. I have played Minecraft for years. Our 8 yr old started playing minecraft with just us or by herself. Then a family and friends server.
When we started Roblox we started as a family. She had maybe 2 yrs of Minecraft experience to know how to be a good co-player. She knows what she can do in any game or not do. Plus what she should allow from other players or not allow.
We have not played Fortnite as we haven’t had the interest.
Each family is different with games, movies, music, food, etc. so do what’s good for your family.
My kids are allowed to play Minecraft and fortnight. NO roblox
My children are 10 years apart so when my youngest got interested in these games his older brother was great to teach him what to look for in a chat or anything he didn’t like just get out and move on its just a game !!! We all are a gaming family so we pop on every so often as well , that’s my right as a parent !! But he’s never been doing anything wrong and the others we good too !!
Mine are allowed to play Minecraft…Mostly this is offline though.
They’re not allowed to play Roblox and when we upgrade our Internet they’ll be allowed to play fortnite with people they know only.
I don’t allow Roblox in my household, period strictly because it’s an open source game platform. I can only deduce that your daughter’s friend isn’t allowed to play Fortnite because of the team voice chat feature or they don’t approve of the violence etc. either way; those are her parents rules and they don’t have to make sense to anyone outside their household.
Lol because it’s fortnite?? DUHHH
My daughter plays Minecraft- offline and not with other people. She can play Fortnite, because we play with her or can actively monitor her in the living room.
She is NOT allowed to play Roblox. Because it’s too open sourced and unless I’m hovering right over her, I don’t know what she’s doing or who she may be talking to
Minecraft is safe if it’s not a public world. Fortnite is fine if you have microphones and voice chat disabled. Roblox however has ALOT of super scary and inappropriate games that aren’t monitored very well.
You weird !!! What other parents do with their kids should not be any of your business
Possibly the guns in fortnight
We find Fortnite to be a violent video game. My 15 year old won’t even play it.
Now I’m wondering why ppl don’t let their kids play Roblox?
