Good 3rd row SUV for parents?

Moms what 3rd row suvs do you have

I have the Chevy Tahoe. It’s great for my tall kids who need the elbow room. For groceries it sucks. I wish the seats folded into the bottom like the mini vans. When they make that option in a Tahoe I’ll be on it quick! A mini van or 3rd row seating that slim would not work well for my family of 6, but if I could haul just my 4 kids and me and groceries would be amazing. I have to take the back seats out completely to do this and I hate it. So Chevy needs to do something about that because I thought I’d hate driving a vehicle this size but I actually love it except the trunk space and availability.

Chevy Suburban but we have also had a ford explorer/expedition, and gmc Yukon. My dad currently has a Chevy Tahoe but it doesn’t have the ‘trunk’ space that a suburban has.

Honda Pilot, it’s the absolute best! I have 6 kids and it has the most space and a decent trunk plus a storage compartment in the trunk. Mine also has a dvd player that’s an absolute life saver. You can also fit stuff around on floors.

I’ve also had a
Dodge minivan- best trunk space, also roomy. Can fit stuff on floor
Chevy traverse- roomy if you have the captain seats with not enough trunk space but can fit stuff around on floor.
Dodge journey- close together and no trunk space no floor space.

Trunk space as in groceries and stroller.

Chevy traverse. I love it. I’ve also had a dodge journey

Chevy Tahoe, downsized from a Chevy Suburban.

I have two
Ones a 2004 ford expedition and the other is a 2011 chevy traverse I love both of them

Audi Q7 super comfortable

Suburban definitely :100: for travel super comfy

Not the journey!! Worst suv ever made. And at least in the one I had couldn’t put my forward facing kids in the third row so that sucked.

Kia Telluride and lovvvve it.

For 3rd row suv I’d say the toyota grand highlander.

I have the hybrid sienna (mini van) and love it!

If you want a trunk your only option is suburban or Yukon xl.

We have a Honda pilot and love it fits 8 comfortable we’ve even had 8 adult men in the car at one time and everyone fit comfortably

I have a Toyota sequoia, I love it!!! The third row is big enough for my 6’4 son to sit in the back!

I have a 2024 Nissan pathfinder. I absolutely love this thing. Perfect size, amazing in snow, and fun to drive.

We have a Honda Pilot, Buick Enclave, and Suburban in this house. They all fit our family of seven fine for short trips, but the Suburban is far and away my preference for our everyday car, and is also amazing on trips.

Ford expedition! Third row and all folds completely flat!

I absolutely positively did not want a mini van… well, we got a Chrysler Pacifica and it’s the best money we ever spent. Between all the room and not having to deal with my kids being so close to each other that someone is touching the other one or they’re annoying each other. The individual tv screens are also an added bonus to keep them occupied on long trips, or let’s be honest, close trips too. The third row captains chairs are great for carpooling or when another family member comes somewhere with us.

Acura MDX three row seating for 7 comfortable

Following for same…but also looking for good gas mileage

GMC Yukon and Chevy Tahoe/Suburban have been my favorites I’ve had. Suburbans have more room if the 3rd row is up which is really nice and they all three drive and ride amazingly!

Depending on what u want. Dependable but affordable -Yukon/tahoe.
Dependable and don’t care about cost- Toyota
Safety-Volkswagen!!
I’ve had a lot of cars. My old yukon with 250,xxx miles has out shined my Durango.
Honestly go old, have less problems than all these new cars/trucks. Not joking.

I have a chevy traverse! Love mine! It holds 8, we had a bench seat put in the middle instead of buckets seats. We are a family of 6, and our teenagers have friends along sometimes and there’s plenty of room. Also have 1 infant carseat and a toddler seat in there as well. Also plenty of room for traveling!

I have a Kia telluride and I love it!! The back seat folds down flat with the truck for so much extra space!!! I only have 2 kids and they sit in the captains seats

Wagoneer and a Durango. Both are great with 3 kids. Wagoneer has the room for all of them and so much more and the Durango has room for all of them and quick trips lol

I have three row highlander but the trunk isn’t good. If I can fold that back row down it would be perfect

I had a GMC Yukon but there was no trunk space without taking the 3rd row out so we upgraded to a suburban. Absolutely love it. Tons of space even with the 3rd row

We have a Honda pilot that we love! But, the bench seat as a middle row is a pain in the behind! Definitely go for something that has captain chairs as the middle row!

Ive owned alot of suv’s, yukon xl, expedition max, explorer, journey, acadia, excursion and now an aspen. I have 5 kids from 4-15 years and if you want room for groceries or sports equipment, id recommend the expedition or yukon xl. If you need that plus towing, go excursion or expedition (no air ride though)! If you just need good fuel economy and enough room for 3 kids with the odd friend, explorer is great! I wouldnt recommend the journey or acadia to anyone. Aspen is nice and fits all my kids but no room for much else. Hope that helps :woman_shrugging:

Nissan Pathfinder :raised_hands: inside is roomy like a mini van, decent trunk space too! The middle row slides forward in two separate sections to adjust for leg room depending on who sits where too

Definitely a Toyota! Great on gas, comfortable for kids!

Chevy traverse… love it. Had a Honda pilot before which is also awesome.

I have a Chevy traverse and it’s been so great! It has the captain seats and I only have the 2 kids so the back seats are down most of the time for ample space in the back for storage!

Durango or pilot! I had a Durango for a few years and loved it! (3 kids all in car seats). I just recently got a pilot and it’s even better!

I have a kia sorrento but my favorite was a Hyundai palisade

Subaru ascent, lots of space and fantastic warranty

I got a VW Atlas in September and I love it. The kids love it too especially the heated seats :joy:

We have both a dodge durango and a Ford excursion. Love both,

Had a Tahoe, just got a new Honda pilot. Love our new Honda pilot!

Chevy suburban with the captains chairs and we have 4 kids. We love it!

I love my Highlander and the third row is comfy❤️

Ford Expedition
Absolutely love it

I love my Jeep grand Cherokee long

I have the Nissan pathfinder absolutely love it

I had two Acura MDX’s when my boys were young. Loved

I have a Tahoe. I love it

I have 5 kids

I drive a Rivian and love it

GMC Acadia. I have now had 2 of them!

Ford Explorer- captains chairs in middle row and bench with 2 big seats in the back. Makes for fun with kids fighting over seats!

We have an expedition and we love it!

Nissan Pathfinder
8 seats and I absolutely love it.

Chevy Traverse, tons of leg room and storage, good on gas to.

Toyota highlander. Has 3 rows. A total of 8 seats, and has good trunk space. Love it.

Chevy Traverse, love it!!

Honda pilot elite love it

2023 honda pilot love love love

My bfs mom has a pathfinder

Love my Cadillac Escalade.

Avoid traverses and Acadias at all costs they have bad engines and transmissions

Nothing Chevy or GM made unless you want to do lots of major repairs! We’ve had 2 different tellurides going in 3.5 years now and they have been the best vehicles we’ve ever owned, and we’ve owned a lot  It gets the highest ratings of all it’s competitors and has won #1 midsize SUV every year since it’s release! Plus it gets great gas mileage for a midsize. We get up to 30mpg on the highway! The 3rd row is actually usable too unlike many others. Plus they are super pretty too :sweat_smile:

Love my Mazda cx9. Seats 7. Not big like a suburban.
