What are some good weekly/daily chores for a 6 year old? I want to put something on a board and give her a quarter for every chore she does without me having to ask.

Clothes in dirty basket , put them in washer, put up laundry, load some stuff in dishwasher, pick up room tidy living room put trash bag back in trashcan set table clear table help carry groceries in put them up , if you have pets clean up their toys pick up poo from yard

My three year old helps unpack the dish washer and brings the rubbish bin in every Tuesday

In our house, household chores aren’t paid. They are an expectation set, that everyone in our home contributes, without being compensated. At 3, my kids were responsible for picking up their toys, books, placing their clothes in their laundry baskets and helping to set the table. As they got older “chores” have changed or been added. If they are helping out with something that might not be routine, we definitely pay them for it.
My kids are now 14, 12, 11 and 9. They each have a couple items to do before school (make their beds/tidy their rooms & wash their breakfast dishes), after school they are responsible for washing their school dishes & putting their shoes/coats/backpacks where they belong, dinner they are responsible for washing/drying dishes, cleaning the table, taking garbage/trash out on trash night & vacuuming.
Set realistic expectations from an early age and homes run much smoother.

Feed pets if you have them, dust, pick up toys, clean room

At that age my son was able to independently and efficiently wipe down the dinner table every night. He also wiped down the stair banister and door knobs once a week.

Trash Dishes wash or dry folding clothes Sweep dusting

My 3 and 5 year old pick up their toys in the livingroom so I can vacuum. They throw their trash away off their kid table and wipe it down. They help me take out the recycling and trash (the little bags from the bathrooms and a bottle or piece of cardboard). They pick up their chalk and outdoor toys so we can mow, help bring their clothes out so we can do laundry. Basically anything I’m doing, they help me do a small portion. They usually help me bake/cook too. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Clean their room. Sort laundry. Help with dishes.

I have her help fold laundry, wipe down dining table and chairs, put dishes away, sweep, wipe out bathroom sink, bring laundry to laundry room, etc. not all in one day but these are the most common
