Good hair washing routine?

Hey mommas! I am looking for recommendations. I am looking for a good hair washing routine. I have hair to the middle of my back and it’s becoming so hard to keep detangled. I can’t run my fingers through it without getting hung up on knots

My hair does this when it’s dry and damaged (Can happen from the sun, sleeping, wearing hats or even to g your hair up)

I trim my ends every 4 months to get rid of any split ends which contributes to the knots and I use a leave in conditioner to help seal moisture back into my hair.

I have thick hair and it’s also mid back and wash my hair twice a week (Once durning the week and once on a weekend)

When I wash on the weekend I allow my hair to dry naturally to avoid any more heat damage.

I use the Kristin Ess range from clicks.

Warm water is for washing cold water is for rinsing, make sure to only wash it every 3 days because over washing causes problems. Yes you should still shower daily just put it in a bun lol I was always told shampoo twice (scrub scalp) then condition once (don’t scrub scalp.)

Wash it daily and condition it daily. Use a wide tooth detangling comb. Brush it thoroughly after it dries. You might also try leave in conditioner. Maybe get a good trim as well. I would avoid buns as much as possible. But maybe a loose braid would help.

It sounds like it needs a cut. You also need to use a tangle teazer on it several times a day. Wash your hair using smooth strokes and brush it before you start. Don’t rub it all into a ball! Put conditioner in it and curl it into a bun whilst you wash the rest of your body before rinsing off the conditioner. Use a deep “repair” conditioner once a week. Also invest in detangling spray. Comb hair through with a detangling comb after washing and don’t rub dry. Just pat or squeeze before putting in a hair turban to mostly dry.
