I am currently 36 weeks pregnant and just found out that I have covid. I’m now sitting in the hospital as my baby’s heart rate is high, and they are worried about her, but I’m starting to think that they may want to induce me tonight. They are doing an in-depth ultrasound to see if the baby is ok, but with how they are acting, it seems like they will probably induce me. Have any other moms been induced early because of covid? If so, how did it go, and what was it like after delivery?
Idn about the exacts . But I do know the damage to the placenta from Covid is what there probably worried about the most. They will figure it out. If they have to it might end in a c-section. Be prepared and good luck. I just had baby at 35 weeks and I know it’s scary but everything will be fine no matter what .
I have no experience with this but I wanted to offer you some encouragement… 4 weeks early, your baby will still be beautiful and very likely to be ok. At this point the doctors may be able to take better care of you both, separately. You are exactly where you need to be and they are highly trained in knowing what to do when. I wish you the best and your baby too. I know this probably isnt the delivery you wanted or hoped for, but you are in good hands.
Sending prayers for you all
Both my sons were born at 35 weeks and both were healthy and got to go home the next day I hope everything works out for you and the baby.
My daughter was born at 35 weeks and was healthy as can be, sent home the next day. But she didn’t have Covid. PrayIng for you and your family. Thats so scary!
If you have Covid and they induce you, he prepared to not see your baby for a week or two.
I would definitely be asking questions like are they going to make you quarantine from baby!
A fear by many expecting moms I am sure. Please try your best to relax and stay calm, baby picks up on your nerves. Hoping for a healthy and happy outcome for you both, please keep us updated on what’s happening.
My daughter was born at 36w and was fine.
Remember, the survival rate is high. If they take baby it’s to make sure baby will be okay. And 36 weeks isn’t super early. Try and relax, stress right now isn’t good for either of you. Hugs mama
36 weeks is early but try not to stress out. I have high risk pregnancies because I go into labor early, the goal is to always make it to 36 weeks…just had a baby boy in January at 36 weeks and he was close to 8 lbs…big healthy baby, no complications
My daughter was born at 36 weeks, my water ruptured slightly and in we went and I was given pictocin to start my contractions. Although I didn’t have to worry about having covid during this everything came out fine and she exceeded all expectations. Try to relax as others have mentioned and good luck
We had a scheduled c-section and opted for the rapid test since we live over an hour away from the hospital. Found out about an hour before we went in the OR that both hubby and I were positive. Everything was fine, just had to switch ORs and rooms. Had to wear a mask in the room when nurses and Dr’s were present. They recommended we wear our mask when holding baby also, but baby tested positive at his 24hr tests also so we stopped. We’ve had no symptoms and baby is thriving.
I think the biggest take away is that it’s early and stay calm. They will do what they think is best for momma and baby.
Good luck.
Girl the night I went into labor I tested positive for covid and had no idea… They just isolated us the room and only came in to check our vitals. She was healthy and perfect! Required i wore a mask when I was breastfeeding or holding my baby girl. Proper sanitation. Children are resilient and I was terrified for my newborn. She never once got sick and I am so thankful. Especially having a 18month old along side. Millions of healthy babies are born at 36 weeks. You and your baby will be fine!!
I had covid pregnant with my daughter! They said she would be fine the baby doesn’t get covid she’s healthy n fine
Weird story, my sister was due mar21, scheduled c-section on the 17th and on her 35wk appt the baby heart rate was down hers was up so they took him that night on the 9th. Both did great…my neighbor, went in for her 35th WK check up and they also took her son that night because his pressure was high. He’s still in nicu but seems to be getting stronger but still not breathing on his own…neither know if they had covid…however every ‘body’ reacts different to this virus so just take it easy and trust your intuition…good luck!
Just breathe and try to relax for the baby. I know that’s easier said than done but focus on just breathing and taking it minute by minute. If they do induce they are doing their job which make sure mom is safe and baby is safe♥️ have faith in your labor team and go with the flow. Stressing won’t change anything except the stress on the baby. I’m praying for you!
36 weeks is usually the week that baby can breath on their own and won’t need NICU/incubator. Listen to your doctors and try to relax!
We had covid during our pregnancy in election night literally and because of that I had to go every week till one day over due date and were great now.
Neither was covid related but my first was born at 32 weeks, and second was induced at 36 weeks. Both baby’s were healthy and good.
They more than likely will but please understand more than likely they’ll take baby to nursery without you holding baby due to you having covid for you don’t pass it onto such a fragile little newborn. Hope u have a quick recovery
Xoxo sending my prayers your way, hoping for a fast recovery

Being induced is a serious matter which may be why they are acting like… that. Dont worry, the more you worry the more stress u put baby under.
