Coming from a paediatric dental assistant, your doing the right thing. Bub won’t remember a thing! It’s such a shame when parents FORCE them in the chair when their obviously not ready. Your going to be fine mom. Good job!

My son had to be put under. He got some laughing medicine. Then put under. He was funny after the laughing medicine. After he woke up we went to the county fair!(last summer) I was nervous but it went smoothly!
I am in the same situation. My son has his dental work at the hospital on the 28th. He has to go for the COVID test a few days before. I already dread how he is going to react when we go in for the procedure, bc he is going to associate the hospital as negative after the test. I’m so nervous about the whole thing. I hope all goes well on your end.
The swab just goes into the nostrils, it doesn’t go past the nostrils anymore. It’s just like getting swabbed for flu or RSV. So it’s shouldn’t be too bad!
Not dental work but my son was 8 months old when he was put under. It was scary but he did wonderfully and recovered immediately.
